Answer:
Because of the amount of material there will be quite a bit of paint left in the mitt. Very comparable to what would be left in a standard 9in x 3/8in roller cover, although the mitt is a little harder to clean afterwards.

Answer:
The total square inches of the fabric is only a little more than a comparable roller cover. It will capture a little more paint than a standard roller, but not much more. Certainly makes painting spindles and railings a lot easier, and is great for washing the car too.

Answer:
This will work for chain link but is really more suited to poles, columns and the like. A better option for chain link might be a 3/4in or 1 1/14in roller cover like these: 497-665 or 497-673.

Answer:
It will work well for chain link but can catch on the metal burrs and edges that are sometimes on the chain link wires. Much faster than brushing and less paint wasted. Another option would be the Better Hi-Density Polyester 1 1/4" Roller Cover. - SKU 497673.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sheds badly with oil-based paint Tried to use on outdoor metal deck railing with oil-based paint and it shed so badly we had to throw it away. Use a higher quality version from a paint store if you want optimal results. February 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wood balusters and newel posts ... I purchased this item to make my life easier when applying polyurethane to the wood balusters in my home. It DID make my life easier however I highly recommend that you first use a lint brush on the mitt before using it like I did. By doing so, you will remove a lot of fuzzies from the mitt. Even after using the lint brush, I was still getting some fuzzies on the wood. The good news ... 1.) It took less than an hour to finish 33 balusters and 2 newel posts and 2.) Once the polyurethane dried, whatever little fuzzies were on the balusters and newel posts came off when I wiped them with a microfiber cloth. January 10, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PERFECT for Painting Rails I bought this to see if it would be easier when painting my deck rails and it definitely worked just as I thought! I would recommend a light sanding before painting the rails as small amounts of the cotton did come off and stick to the rails but once it dried I was able to pull it off. ALSO please make sure you where a rubber glove underneath this mitt as the paint will definitely seep through and onto your hands! Otherwise worked well would get into all the corners and everything. Great idea! May 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great car wash mitt Cheap and last longer then most. Doesn't fall apart after 3 or 4 washes like most. March 17, 2013
