Product Overview

This handsome brushed nickel and black finish console style humidifier fits into any decor. Our humidifiers work by adding invisible moisture to your environment by moving dry air through a saturated wick. Maintaining proper humidity levels between 30-50% in your home/office/workplace has been scientifically proven to help prevent the flu and allergies. Proper humidity hydrates your skin, alleviates dry eyes, scratchy throats and can reduce snoring. With a doctor's approval increased humidity can reduce asthma and allergy symptoms. It also protects fine furniture, musical instruments, collectibles and wood floors. Proper humidity makes you feel warmer allowing you to lower your thermostat setting which will save money.

Why do you keep talking about square feet. The only measurement that has any meaning is cubic feet. A 4,000 square foot area with 10 foot ceilings is easier to heat, cool, humidify than a 4,000 square foot area with 20 foot ceilings like the cathedral ceilings in my very open floor plan house. So the real question is, how many cubic feet will this humidifier effectively humidify? Can this humidify a 1,500 house with 20 foot cathedral ceilings?
Asked by: JPK
Given the average home has an 8 ft ceiling and not your 20 foot cathedral ceiling, I think it is fair to say that the company's per square ft statement is based on the "norm" rather than your 20 ft ceiling extension. I think it is a bit impractical of you to think that you will find a reference ANYWHERE that takes into consideration your 20 ft ceilings. I think it would be easiest for you to simply do the math, and do the conversion yourself. I think you will be a much happier person that way.

Why does "F" keep flashing after I filled the unit according to the directions?

Asked by: JennRenn
When you see the flashing "F" when the unit is full of water, means that your float is not engaging with the switch. Is your unit sitting on a level surface? Do you have your float placed in the correct slot? (You can find out where placement should be in your owner's manual) If you are still having problems after reviewing these things, please call our customer service department at 1-800-547-3888 for live trouble shooting. How often do you need to change the filters? I have a 7500 sq ft office and am thinking of buying 2 of these. Thanks
Asked by: Sue
It will really depend upon the quality of the water you put in the humidifier. If the water is prefiltered that will help. If the water is high in minerals that will hurt. In my experience you will be able to run the humidifier for one year without having to look at it. After the first season empty it, clean it up and see if the filters have a lot of sediment build up. My recommendation would be to change the filters once a year at the end of the season so it is ready to go the next.

Can I connect a water line for automatic refill ?

I would like to run a Pex pipe to the unit for automatic refill . What size pipe should I use ? 1/4 or 3/8 Pex pipe ? Do I need any special kit ?
Asked by: Donkey
No, the unit is very well designed with the auto fill buckets used. There would be no way to autofill the unit with a piping system as it would not know when to shutoff.

Bedrooms are upstairs, living areas main level then basement.

We recommend that the humidifier be placed in the center of the home and that you have one upstairs and downstairs. Thank you, Christy - Customer Service at AIRCARE Products

No, it does not. And when you use the anti bacterial additive, it hardly requires much cleaning.

We recently replaced a furnace but were looking for an in-home unit vs. the one attached to our furnace. This has well exceeded our expectations. Not only is the unit good looking but it's made extremely well and is simple to use. The unit was simple to unbox and install with the instructions easy to follow. Nice thing... this baby performs and is so quiet on low that I've been checking to verify it's running! The filler/re-fill bottles are a snap to fill and re-install. Best of all the operation is digital and idiot proof.... I've recommended this to family members and friends, since it's affordable and efficient.

When we opened the box and started assembling the humidifier we were very upset. The right hinge was broken. The right side fan holder was broken, but we didn't notice that until after our phone conversation with Aircare. Evidently, HD doesn't use enough care with their for sale products as this wasn't our first damaged purchase. Aircare sent us a new lift-able door. I do like the humidifiier, but I wouldn't recommend a friend buying one from HD without opening the box and inspecting the product. Maybe putting it together prior to purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Defective merchandise I bought this brand humidifier (14gallon series).Opened it up,no instructions,no wheels, cracked bottom plastic-returned it back to Home Depot and received another one. I put that one together as directions stated. Needless to say I could not fill one of the water tanks up because the molding on the carrying handle was flawed leaving an actual hole. Back to the store I go. The whole unit is made of very cheap, thin plastic.Quality control -for this amount of money please check the durability of this item

They are easy to remove, lay flat on a counter and fill with any faucet. Yes, one tank does drain before the other, but so what? They both feed the same basin and it doesn't affect how often you refill. I actually like one tank draining at a time. It is also easy to flip up the lid and check the levels. Yes, at the higher speeds the fan is loud. We just run it on the lower speed when in the room and crank it up, if we want to, when we go to bed or leave the house. This thing puts out a lot of vapor even with fan at low speeds. The design is simple so not much can go wrong. Also this is way less maintenance than the smaller units that basically boil the water. I bought the additive to reduce any mold, etc. and reduce required cleaning. I just plan to swap out the filters at the end of the season.

I reasearched several models and decided this was the product/brand to buy. Set up time was under 10 minutes and I placed unit in a central location near cold air return of my heating unit. I programmed unit to 40% humidity and fan speed on level 2. It's been running almost 3 hours and what a difference it has made. The current humidity is at 33% so far. The lowest fan setting level 1 is whisper quiet; level 2 sounds like running a low speed box fan, and level 3 is loud like medium speed box fan. I highly recommend this product/brand. It actually surpassed my expectations and wish I had bought this 5 years ago..

When we got it on December 16, 2016 it started cycling on and off. We then set it for level two constant on. Now after less than a month it does not work at all. We have done all the trouble shooting and no luck.
