Product Overview

This handsome brushed nickel and black finish console style humidifier fits into any decor. Our humidifiers work by adding invisible moisture to your environment by moving dry air through a saturated wick. Maintaining proper humidity levels between 30-50% in your home/office/workplace has been scientifically proven to help prevent the flu and allergies. Proper humidity hydrates your skin, alleviates dry eyes, scratchy throats and can reduce snoring. With a doctor's approval increased humidity can reduce asthma and allergy symptoms. Answer:
No, the unit is very well designed with the auto fill buckets used. There would be no way to autofill the unit with a piping system as it would not know when to shutoff.

Answer:
No on automatically filling this unit. This unit has two internal water bottles with caps and valve openings to allow water into the wick areas. The bottles need to be removed from the unit for filling. There is no advertised kit available to modify this unit.

Answer:
I doubt it, why would you want the humidity that high? That high promotes bacteria and mold growth. A humidity of 35 to 45% is ideal for the dry winter months.

Answer:
The unit is capable of a setting to 65%. The set point and the actual room humidity may differ. If the room humidity is 80% it could show that amount on the screen.

Answer:
Good Morning,
Hard water can be used in the humidifier but it is not recommended. Depending on how hard your water is, you may end up changing your water wick more frequently which can be costly. The best source of water that we are able to suggest is regular city tap water, distilled water, or a purified water source.

They are easy to remove, lay flat on a counter and fill with any faucet. Yes, one tank does drain before the other, but so what? They both feed the same basin and it doesn't affect how often you refill. I actually like one tank draining at a time. It is also easy to flip up the lid and check the levels. Yes, at the higher speeds the fan is loud. We just run it on the lower speed when in the room and crank it up, if we want to, when we go to bed or leave the house. This thing puts out a lot of vapor even with fan at low speeds. The design is simple so not much can go wrong. Also this is way less maintenance than the smaller units that basically boil the water. I bought the additive to reduce any mold, etc. and reduce required cleaning. I just plan to swap out the filters at the end of the season.

I reasearched several models and decided this was the product/brand to buy. Set up time was under 10 minutes and I placed unit in a central location near cold air return of my heating unit. I programmed unit to 40% humidity and fan speed on level 2. It's been running almost 3 hours and what a difference it has made. The current humidity is at 33% so far. The lowest fan setting level 1 is whisper quiet; level 2 sounds like running a low speed box fan, and level 3 is loud like medium speed box fan. I highly recommend this product/brand. It actually surpassed my expectations and wish I had bought this 5 years ago..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Online disaster The unit is a bit noisy on the higher fan settings, but otherwise works well. The tanks are easy to refill, but could be larger. They have to be refilled at least once a day. Simple to use.

I had an older version of this humidifier, probably 12 or 15 years old, that we retired when we moved. The new version is a very worthy upgrade with many design improvements. The jugs to refill are much more convenient, the filters are mounted in cages, and the humidistat is mounted on the power cord, away from the flow of humid air, leading to a much better measurement. It would be nice to have more than 3 speeds. High is really loud, medium is not bad, but still too loud if we are within 10 or 12 feet. The nice thing is that low speed still seems to humidify well enough to keep the humidity in our large house where we want it.

We recently replaced a furnace but were looking for an in-home unit vs. the one attached to our furnace. This has well exceeded our expectations. Not only is the unit good looking but it's made extremely well and is simple to use. The unit was simple to unbox and install with the instructions easy to follow. Nice thing... this baby performs and is so quiet on low that I've been checking to verify it's running! The filler/re-fill bottles are a snap to fill and re-install. Best of all the operation is digital and idiot proof.... I've recommended this to family members and friends, since it's affordable and efficient.
