Base Shoes are an easy way to professionally finish off your baseboard project. Base shoes are installed at the foot of a baseboard moulding for two reasons. They extend the amount of flooring covered by the moulding in case the flooring was cut back too short. Secondly, they cover up gaps created by unevenness between the floor and the baseboard. Base Shoes are flexible and will follow the contour of the flooring material.
