This showerhead combo may or may not be for you. It is not very well made and may not last a long time if used every day. Here is what you should know.
1) The unit is extremely easy to install. However, I purchased better double sided waterproof sticky foam to attach the bottom to the wall, as it falls on a grout line.
2) The shower heads do a pretty good job even in low pressure zones. I aim both heads on rain mode and it really gets the soap off. She uses the handled on a higher pressure setting and likes it.
3) For every day use, this product will not last very long. The plastic connectors are prone to cracking. (However, Waxman (877) 283-2664 will gladly send you new parts for many years.)
4) For the price, not having to drill holes, and getting dual shower heads with a wand - you cannot beat the price and it does a good job. If it is the guest shower and not used often, I would not hesitate if you need this kind of solution.
5) Having said that... it is a pain to need to call American Standard, to get Waxman's number and wait a few days to get the parts. (I now keep a backup shower head on hand.)
6) No one seems to offer anything close to an inexpensive fairly good looking solution at this low price.
So there you have it. You should now know what you need to know in order to make a good decision.
If you want high quality and can afford it - especially if building from scratch you will want to avoid this unit.
If you do not want screw holes (which are potential leaks or potentially cracked tiles installing on old showers) If you do not want to spend a lot of money. If you want an EASY install. If this shower will not be used often or if you can afford to wait a few days for parts -- Then I can easily say get this unit
I have a beautiful custom bath and shower designed and built myself that looks professionally done, will NEVER leak, and I am proud of it. I am not proud when the head breaks, but it does look good. When my master shower is built, we will keep this unit as it will not be used often.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by CosmoKramer Not bad once the flow restrictors are gone
While I echo the statements by others about the plastic feeling cheap, it does seem to work pretty well at least for the time being. I've only owned it for two weeks so I can't attest to the longevity of it, but as far as the overall showering experience it provides I'm pretty happy with it.
My buddy Newman and I need a powerful shower, otherwise we just don't feel like ourselves. This one is low-flow, and I didn't like the sound of that. I wasn't at all happy with this new fancy showerhead as it had lower pressure on it's "power" setting than my old leaky showerhead did on it's low setting. The good news is that the flow restrictors are easy to remove. There is a restrictor in each head. Look inside the threaded connector of each and you'll see a rubber disc with 3 tiny holes in it. That's the government mandated 2.5GPM restrictor, and you don't want it. Remove the black O ring, then take a hand drill with a 1/4" bit and get to work. The bit will eventually catch on the flow restrictor and will pull the entire piece out along with a small white plastic piece which holds the restrictor in place. Once it's gone, remove as much of the rubber shavings as you can; they may clog the showerhead if large enough. Once clean, reinstall the showerheads and enjoy your newfound pressure.
Rated 4 stars due to price vs quality and requirement of drill to remove flow restrictor. Some other showerheads have a removable insert as a restrictor, so your warranty does not get voided by removing it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Magurq Acceptable option to retrofit a shower
Not sure how many options there are out there to retrofit a shower with an adjustable handheld shower. This unit did the job. It looks like chrome but it is plastic. It will not take a lot of abuse or torque at the top. Use care! After about six months our adhesive disc (at bottom) came loose. I made an easy call to American Standard and they are shipping a new adhesive disc. YEA. I do find the hose stiff and the handheld show head is hard to put back in its holder. It is better to use two hands- one to hold the holder and the other to put the handheld unit back. I have a young person who does not follow this suggestion, hence the loosened adhesive. We have no flow issues in this home, so flow is great.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by ForrestRanjer Two broken units in 18 months.
The first unit we purchased broke within a day at the connection between the shower head and the swivel. The plastic fitting that holds the shower unit to the pipe broke within 18 months. If it had been metal, it might have worked. Will not be purchasing American Standard again.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by waka over two years of use
I bought this on a whim and have been very satisfied with the unit. I'm a caregiver for my wife so we use the hand held shower when I bath her in a shower chair.
I use the shower head or both for myself.
Over all this shower combo gets a lot of use and the only complaint is that the rubber suction cup needs to be cleaned often so it holds well.
I am about to buy two more units, one just in case they stop making them in the future.
