The toilet installed easily, but that's about all I can say good about this toilet. It seems like it should have a powerful flush from the sound it makes, but it doesn't do a good job clearing the bowl. There are many times it takes 5 or more flushes to clear the bowl. It really doesn't even do a good job clearing just urine and toilet paper. Even that task can take 2 or 3 flushes. It mostly just dilutes the contents each time. I decided to spend a bit more money on a toilet this time and get something powerful, but this toilet has been a big let down. I'm ready to replace it just after a month.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gramma Got one, had to get another American Standard Cadet toilet
the plumber hasn't installed it yet but it is my 2nd and I love it! The amazing strong swoosh when flushing, is terrific. I have a book group weekly here and they all love it too! Chair height is just the best also. Thanks, our church has one, though not exact model, and that's how I got the idea!

I first saw this type of toilet in restaurants and gas stations and assumed that they would be real expensive. On a whim, I went online to Home depot and saw that they are really not that pricy. Long story short, I decided to buy one and give it a go. I have nothing but praise for it, where my old toilet would frequently take two flushes (each at twice the water of this one, BTW) this toilet consistently does the job on one. What more can I say except maybe they will next marry the technology of my sonic toothbrush with the turbo toilet to come out with a toilet that self cleans. That would be a real winner in my book!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Raydtek Great toilet
I didn't expect much improvement over a similar toilet that was 10-years old and was prone to clogging. However, I now call this toilet the "big gulp" as it sucks down any size load quickly and quietly with a small amount of water. Apparently the redesign included a larger diameter discharge hole between the tank and the bowl for better flow and a redesigned bowl that concentrates the action to the center, rather than swishing around the perimeter. While the load disappears, it can't be going far and I'm thinking that the recommendation that one hold down the handle for a full tank discharge with large loads is wise advice for the homeowner, but not to be expected or needed of occasional house guests. Kudos to American Standard.

This is the only type of toilet I would buy as a replacement. If your tired of using a plunger or have had a flood, this is what you need !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by annon Impressive Flush
We bought this toilet because we were impressed by this flush system that was used in a hotel we visited. The flush is quite powerful and efficiently clears the bowl with one flush. It works well with our well system. It was a bonus that it uses less water than the conventional toilet. Yes, it is louder when it flushes but not a deal breaker. Now conventional toilets seem wimpy.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TomR A nice toilet marred by casting defect
The pressure assist (by Flushmate) is fantastic.
Unfortunately the bowl base is badly cast. On mine, the back 40% of the toilet was cast to sit flat on the ground, but then the front 60% sweeps up from this flat plane to about 1/4" out of plane at the very front of the bowl. I ended up spending a couple of hours grinding burrs off the base, and finally resorting to shims to keep the toilet from rocking.
And no, it wasn't the floor, its perfectly level, the old American Standard toilet set upon it perfectly. Also checked with a level.
