We've been using this toilet for over a month now and are very pleased with its performance. It uses only 1.0 gallon per flush for most waste. Only rarely do we need to use the 1.6 gallon button. The bowl also stays much cleaner than the old toilet, as the porcelain finish in the bowl is very smooth. The flush buttons are located on the tank lid. To flush, just press the button and hold for a count of two. The tank is smaller than the old toilet tank, and sits about 3"-4" below the counter top of the vanity. It takes a little bit to get used to the smaller tank footprint, but does make the space seem a little larger. The only con I can think of is our magazines need to find another home....

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thanksgivingman American Standard Dual Flush Toliets - Great!
I have three of these Toilets in my home and my wife and I have enjoyed them very much. So I purchased two of these for my Son's home. I inadvertently ordered ROUND and meant to order ELONGATED. But the Round will work. I was not aware that they did not include Toilet Seats. So I purchased BEMIS Toilet Seats at Home Depot that feature "Always Tight" and "Whisper Close". I was so impressed with the BEMIS Toilet Seats that I purchased three for my home in addition to the two for my Son's Toilets. We had a Plumber install the two new Toilets. I installed the Seats. The Seats were a breeze to install and have some awesome features when it comes to the Always Tight and Whisper Close features!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good performance so far, small size
We have a second bathroom tucked under the roof upstairs that had an old toilet that not only used a lot of water, but would often need more than one flush. I had used one of these at a friend's house, and liked the idea of being able to flush with a smaller amount of water when possible. Most of the time, the low-volume flush is all you need anyway. It installed easily and looks great. In the small space, it seems to take less room than the old one. We bought it online because this exact model wasn't listed as available at our local Home Depot, but when visiting the store later, there were mighty similar models that may have been the same, only with accessories (seat, wax ring) *included* in the box. We used our old seat, and I had to buy a new wax ring. If I had to do it again, I think I'd buy the one locally, because the total price was a bit less than the online price, even with the extras.

First let me say, I felt like I went a little crazy on the research end for a new toilet. I realized several months ago that my old toilet was using a ton of water. I made some assumptions and calculated the cost to "operate" my old toilet verses getting a new, more water conscious toilet. I was able to determine that it would be in my best interest to invest in a new toilet and that it would pay for itself reasonably quickly (within a year to a year and a half.) With that being said I looked at 1.6, 1.27, and dual flush toilets. And I considered the replacement parts over time. My research said that there was little difference between a 1.6/1 dual flush and a 1.27 flush. The water savings between the two was insignificant based on a review based out of CA. So the more reasonable response from someone that is money conscious would have been to go with the 1.27 flush toilet, as the parts and overall cost was quite reasonable. However the flashy and novel dual flush got the better of me (that and I thought the kids would get a kick out of saving Dad a buck and the novelty of pushing the #1 or #2 button). I had the unit delivered to my house. UPS dropped it off in two boxes and was in perfect condition. Installation was typical for a toilet. I went with a wax-less ring from fluidmaster. I also purchased a self closing seat, because I was tired of the midnight toilet slam. All in all, I am happy with the toilet. You can flush just about everything down with the #1 flush. Toilet bowl stays cleaner longer than my old one did. I have had it 2 months and am very pleased. My only question at this point is how long the extra parts are going to work properly in the tank. I had fun with this project.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cliff Very convenient delivery & attractive
The dual flush works great. Easy to install. My wife has commented a couple of times on how much she likes it. Had to purchase all parts separately. Would have been more convenient to just order the complete kit like the store normally carries. Manufacturer included wrong bolt & nut, and had to visit store to get free set.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cole Great Product!
This was very easy to install and looks great. Had to buy my own wax ring and seat but that wasn't a big deal. No complaints from me and will defiantly buy this to put in my other bathroom. Also love the duel flush.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Joybot Great update for my bathroom! I never knew how simple it was to install a toilet!
I installed this toilet a week ago and have had no problems. I bought this model to replace a leaky low profile tank toilet. (in the picture you can see the outline of the old toilet) I have a small bathroom and was nervous that this toilet would look too big with the exposed tank, but I was pleasently surprised with the outcome. The tank is very slim. With the buttons on top, I barely have room for a candle and tissue box on the lid, but I think that's a good thing in my case.
I'm a 27 year old, petite female and have never replaced a toilet. I ordered this model online and installed it easily with the help of my boyfriend. Some tips I would pass along to help save time and trips back to home depot:
1. Buy a wax ring. (I didn't know!:))
2.Watch the home depot video on how to take out your old toilet and replace it with a new one.
3.Make sure your water supply hose from your old toilet will work with your new one, if it won't, buy a new one, but make sure it will work with both your supply line and your toilet. (We had to buy a new hose and a new supply line cut off valve to make it work... after 2 trips to home depot..doh!)
All in all, I feel this was a great purchase and I love the dual flush option!
I saw other reviewers mention this, but this toilet does not include a seat. You will need to purchase that seperately. I bought this one: American StandardEverClean Round Closed Front Toilet Seat in White 5282011.020
