I got this shower head for my master bath standing shower. Installation took 2 minutes with no plumbing skill required. Simply remove the old shower head using groove joint plier, apply thread seal tape on the pipe and place the new shower head.
Brass construction and polish looks high end. All the nozzles are made of rubber.
The shower headâs water flow rate is 2.5 gallons per minute which flows through 140 nozzles and thatâs where I ran into disappointment. Given the number of nozzles it has, 2.5 gallon per minute just doesnât cut especially when you install it on the side wall shower arm instead of ceiling. This shower head should have had some sort of self-pressurizing immersion to have a decent flow so that the water could flow with pressure and rinse time could be reduced. To get some decent flow, I need to spend more to get a right angle shower arm and that does not make me happy.
Recommended if you are installing it on the ceiling.

This is the first "rain" type showerhead I have owned, and I didn't know what I was missing out on until I installed this. In our master bathroom shower, we have two separate shower spouts controlled by two different water valves. Up until now, we only had one multi-function shower-wand head installed. With this installed we can run them either both, or one at a time.
Installation was simple, but I had to find a good shower arm to raise this showerhead up higher, and extend it out further from the wall. Once I had found one I was satisfied with, I went ahead and installed this. I removed the water saving device from it because I demand strong water flow, and this delivers! The only complaint I have, is that the flattened area where you grip your crescent wrench for installation is too small, and found it slipping off, making it a little more difficult to tighten then I would have liked. This could have been designed better by making the flattened areas on the round piece above the shower head deeper, and longer. Other than that, I have no complaints or issues.
Once installed, I turned it on and just stood there under the rain flow in pure bliss! Each and every water nozzle on the surface of the shower head has perfectly even flow, there are no dead spots. Our next upgrade is a bigger water heater so we can run both showerheads longer. I have learned with extended use of this showerhead, that it's best to start the shower experience with this turned on, then shut it down during the middle of the shower, then turn it back on towards the end of your shower. Of coarse this will only make sense if you have dual shower heads installed like I do. This makes the hot water last longer, and you enjoy the best of both worlds.

Installation was easy. Water pressure and glow is perfect for overhead installation. Design is very elegant and gives a very classy look to the shower. It appears very solid and the rubber grommets are sturdy and should be easily cleaned.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Carolee Attractive, Functional, Energizing
The American Standard Modern Rain 10 in. Raincan Showerhead is the perfect addition to our master bath shower. It feels like being drenched in a downpour of soft, soothing water. Yet I can also adjust the rainfall to a trickle or a deluge. It's a great price for an attractive product that is most functional. Curiously, it is soothing to one's skin and energizing too. It's one of the best buys we've made.
