Yep - they filtered great -- in fact, they filtered so well that the water couldn't go thru fast enough causing the gutter to overflow in downpours. The gutters weren't full - just blocked by this product. It negated the purpose of having gutters. Within 6 months, my new white gutters were permanently discolored. I still didn't take them down but after a few years they failed in the hot Texas summer sun, and sagged into the gutters near the ends and corners effectively creating gutter dams. Now I've removed the product and getting ready to repaint to cover the stains. In short, this product caused increased gutter maintenance instead of reducing it.

Because I thought they were working I did not check for several months the second year and ended up with gutters full of leaves which had gone under warped and deformed panels.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WARNING! Yes, these install very easily and keep out debris and leaves as long as they haven't been exposed to summer sun and then they buckle down into the rain gutter and clog everything up along with the debris. Installed these in the Fall of 2015 and they are completely useless now (July 2016). The No Warranty should have been the clue. Time spent installing is now a complete loss. Will check into another product that will do the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! i write very few reviews, only when I am over the top excited or disappointed with a product. In my opinion this product is garbage and should not be sold. I installed these one year ago and upon recent inspection found that they have all caved in and are laying in the bottom of the gutters. I don't know if the weight of the snow pushed them in or the heat of the sun softened them but I wasted a lot of time and money on this purchase. Of course, I no longer have my receipt so I may be stuck with them. If this is the case Home Depot has lost my business forever ... there is a Lowe's directly across the street from them.

I've installed the upgraded version (with plastic mesh screen) of this product and it was simple and straightforward. I am not a handyman and this install went easier than I expected. The lower edge of the Gutter Guard has a channel that fits over the edge of the gutter; once you get one edge started, you simply push the remainder of the guard in place. Wish I would have seen these years ago. Hopefully they will work as well as claimed with fall coming up, then spring of 2018. I am surrounded by large oak and maple trees that drop seeds, debris, and leaves throughout the spring and fall

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good idea but fit is important I recommend this only if you check the size of the lip of your gutter before buying. The lip must be 1/2 inch or less. The mesh will help keep pine needles and leaves out much better than those with larger openings. My only concern, other than the fit, is how long they will last. The plastic mesh is glued to the outer surface of the guard. These will require a bit of maintenance due to the downward cup once it is in place. Material will have to be removed from time to time. Also, be sure not to leave any gaps between the sections, glue them together with silicon. Not bad for a do it yourself product but not comparable to commercial products.

I have used this product, previously, and it has held up quite well since originally installed, about 8 years ago. The location of the installation was on south and east facing gutters... in full sun... and I have not had to replace even one piece due to product failure. The most recent purchase will be for use on north and west facing gutters and I have no reason to expect any different results. Product was relatively easy to install and has great durability for the price. The only drawback that I have found is that the screen material can ice-over under the right (wrong?) conditions in the winter... but that has never caused a problem. And the bottom line is, that the short installation time was well-worth all of the time I would have lost cleaning gutters for all of those years!

Didn't say anything about not installing them in a medium to hot climate, but they all buckled down into the gutter. Not worth a single cent unless you are looking for something to keep you up on ladder and doing nonsense work! Screen does not allow moderate rainfall to drop in but instead it gushes over the top and down on your head.
