I got this and followed all the directions. When I applied my first coat well was ok then the second coat half way thru a 10x12 room the pad started coming apart leaving several large spots of lambs wool on my floor. It will have to be sanded out and another coat of finish put down. I don't know if this happens all the time or just my luck.

I wasn't sure if I needed to spend the few extra bucks on this product but glad I did.
This made the job much easier and I just picked up another one.

Our school uses these to spread high gloss polish on our floors. They work great.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Matt Left fibers in the dried finish... Will never use again!
Even after cleaning the loose fibers, the applicator shed a ton of fibers which were hard to see until it was dry... now I have a floor with fibers stuck everywhere... Was planning to use good old fashioned brush, but Home Depot person recommended this... wish I didn't listen to them! Don't buy... stick with brush.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BestbankRealEstate Easiest product I ever used.
Works great on floors. Very little mess and durable. Can use on same application to put 8+ coats without cleaning. Between each application just put in freezer bag and freeze. Takes less than a minute to defrost when dipped in fresh poly for next coat. Refills only save you a dollar so much easier to just buy complete second applicator in case something happens to first one in middle of job. Leaves smooth clean job.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Neverendingprojects Applicator would work fine if it stayed on pole
This applicator works quite well when it stays attached to the pole, which is about two minutes if you're lucky. The hole for the pole to screw into looks like it was gnawed out by an angry animal, which makes securely attaching the pole impossible without modifying the block, which is what I had to do. I would have happily paid more for a better quality product but this was the only option available in store. If you can get the block and pole to stay attached however, the applicator does work well. Otherwise, you will be very frustrated when the block falls off repeatedly.

Excellent product. I used it to stain my deck with Cabot Australian oil. Too bad Home Depot does not sell this product. I bought the stain from Menards but they do not sell the lambskin application, and was suggested by the sale staff to use tee shirt cotton material for staining. Huge mistake, please do not ever even think of using cotton for staining for the following reasons: takes forever, you get stain everywhere other than the deck, you are on your hands and knees, very uneven cover. With lambskin pad the staining was a breeze, no stain on your hand, lightening fast, even color. Took us half the time to cover twice as much surface with the lambskin.
