Is there any way this can work with 12AWG wire? That's what is throughout my house.
Asked by: ahl
Don't use these for house power wiring. They are too small and should not carry that much current. And they don't meet building code. Use twist connectors or junction boxes for !2AWG wiring.

My cloth dryer terminal fired, I want to reconnect all the wires together, can I use this connector for that purpose? is there any voltage capacity issue with this?
Asked by: Sam
These terminal blocks are great for connections of all varieties, but they do have limitations that must be observed. These can be used with a maximum voltage of 450V, a maximum amperage of 17.5 amps, and can accommodate a maximum wire gauge of 14 AWG. If your application meets these requirements, this product should work fine for you.

Can you use this teminal block to wire a common wire and two or more wires together like in a solinoid on a sprinkele valve

Example: I have looked at the manual and can't figure out what I did wrong.
Asked by: Ol4a5t
This terminal block can connect any wire type from 22AWG, up to 14AWG. If your wiring is sized appropriately, this should work for your intended use.

While many telecom techs prefer push type terminals have generally found these Euro-style connection terminals/blocks(w. screw-down type connectors) much easier to work with. Radio Shack no longer available for these!

I used them to connect and disconnect light boxes to their power lines. These terminal blocks are much easier to use than connectors when you expect infrequent disconnects. I have been using them for months now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average quality I intended to use it for some wiring connection, but I gave it up. This is too weak for such a job. I put the first wire in it and I screw it. It snapped below the screw. It is not my first time doing this kind of job with this kind of product; actually, I have used this kind of product o lot of times before this one. I am not completely satisfied. At least, not about this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best way to make connections between strips of LED tape lighting The connectors used to string strips of many brands of LED tape lighting are large and require a 1/2" hole to pass through between walls, cabinets etc. These connectors allow drilling a hole just big enough to pass the low-voltage wiring and splice them reliably. the connector is made for 4 connections so just cut them in half to use two wires. If you want to fasten this connector up out of sight, there is a mounting hole, but it is small so you must use a #4 screw (not too common).

I was able to cut the blocks into pairs of connections for low voltage wiring. This cuts down on soldering and wire nuts and will make it easier to modify the installation later. It also made it easy to test the voltage at each junction.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Work well The quick connect terminal blocks that came with the power supplies worked well. My one complaint was they didn't have double stick tape or a screw to secure the terminal block to the cabinet. I didn't end up needing these terminal blocks and the package had no bar codes. We will see how the return goes.
