Customer Questions & Answers

How much time does it take to assemble?

The research I have found on this shed is conflicting. Some say it is a two day project. Others say it is a one day project. All say it requires two people for at least part of the time. Does the manufacturer have a general assembly time they predict?

If you carefully fitted a heavy-duty green tarp across the top, it would never leak. I keep animal feed in mine, and have no problems.

A smaller shed would have worked better with the space I had but I just couldn't justify spending almost $200 for a shed that is smaller. Very happy with this shed though. It blocks my trash cans from sight when in the backyard and the extra space is awesome. I did not know it came with the floor kit so that was a nice surprise. Having assembled one of these in the past I already knew what was in store. It really isn't too bad if you take your time to think it through and understand what step you are on. I would set aside at least 6 hours to get this project done if you are good at putting things together. I was able to assemble almost everything on my own only needing the wife's help twice at just five minutes each time. When finishing the roof along the edges where you screw the roof into the top of the walls, some of the holes were off almost a half inch (probably due to my error) was too far to try to pull the pieces together but I just drilled a couple new pilot holes and everything worked fine. Cutting the ply wood for the floor was super easy the instruction say exactly what to measure and cut there is no guessing what so ever. The plywood was an extra $20 a sheet and you will need 2 sheets. Plus some dry wall screws. After tax plan on spending an extra $50 to get the floor done.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Arrow Storage Shed This is probably a little to early to rate this product as its only been built for 2 days so to be fair the only things I can properly comment on is the building process and the quality of materials used in manufacturing the shed. Building it is a bit of a nightmare as they use very tiny screws and bolts and an extraordinary amount of them, the installation instructions are a bit confusing. The materials they use are very thin and seem a bit weak even after being built. But with all that said I purchased it because it was the right size and really cheap. I hope it keeps the water out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extra Space My fiancé & muse just needed some extra space I'd been shopping around a few months but really didn't want to spend over $300 for a shed...pulled up a Home Depot & she caught my eye lol I had to purchase it simply because it was less than $225. Great little shed so far & you must have patience when building took me roughly 10-11 hours to complete everything!

This is a really inexpensive shed and serves the primary purpose of sheltering my equipment. There are several warnings about wearing protective gloves, but I want to reiterate: The edges of the panels are sharp! The one downside is the floor frame isn't sturdy enough to support much weight.

While the value of the shed is great at just over $230 (including tax), the time it takes to build is misleading (the demo video implies 4 hours). Most people won't have a well lit, empty warehouse to spread out all the parts and work freely, so expect to spend an entire day working on this thing from start to finish with a couple breaks. Instructions are incomplete in some areas and the pictures do not always provide enough detail, so be prepared to do some rework throughout the process. You'll also want to use magnetic drill bits because the tiny little screws and washers will easily fall off a normal bit multiple times throughout the process making it very nerve racking, especially in tight quarters. The nut sizes are also not standard, so you'll need a smaller adjustable wrench to tighten these as you work. You'll also want to keep an extra band aid or two around since the metal edges can cut you if you're not careful. Can't beat the value though, once you finally get it built...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't let the 1-star reviews fool you... So we needed a shed. We have a concrete slab patio, 360 sq. ft. We have a little area near the back, that measures 8'6" x 6'4". This shed would fit perfectly. Not to mention the cost. A cost which could not be beat. Literally, we tried. So we thought we found our shed. A wise thing to do when purchasing on line is to always look at some reviews, especially bad reviews. The common theme amongst the bad reviews was the difficulty that ensues when one attempts to install this shed. That the directions are poor. That the holes don't line up. That the wind can rip 'er right in half! I read every one- and two-star review, and I was not deterred. This shed would be the one. A warning, this b is heavy! You will need 2+ people and/or a large dolly/crane to get it from your vehicle to your place of assembly. I spent the next day doing an inventory of the million screws, bolts, nuts, and other parts this shed comes with. I wanted to know her intimately, so to know what I was getting myself into. I also read all of the instructions, to get a sense of what was in store. I spent a Wednesday building the base. By myself, this took a couple hours. I work slow and am diligent, so you could probably be done in less time. I also drink beer. Thursday was dedicated to the walls. My brother came by, and a second set of hands is invaluable. There are times when you are on one side of a panel and you just need someone holding your nuts while you tighten your bolts into them. Frame and walls took me 6 hours. Friday got the roof constructed, and I was able to do that almost all on my own (my wife had to help hold my nuts a couple of times). This was probably 2 or 3 hours. Saturday was the door, which took no time at all (less than an hour). Now, keep in mind that I build this shed within the dimensions which it lives. This gave me less than 6" along the side walls and rear of the shed. 90% of construction I completed on my own, with no power tools (although I did have to buy a stubby phillips head). If you have 2+ people and are able to construct this little s.o.b. with at least a foot of clearance on the walls, you will be just fine. Oh, right, one thing that was irksome. One part did not assemble as the instructions said it would. After each step, the instructions say what the dimensions of your constructed piece should be. One bar was 3" longer than it should've been, so I made it the length the instructions said it should be. When it came time to install that piece on the shed, the holes didn't line up (but the piece was the right length, which makes me think the instructions were off). I reconciled this by grabbing my drill and just drilling a small hole where there was none. It worked like a hot dam(n). In summation, if you want a cheap shed that is 8' x 6' and you want to spend a very little amount of money, then you should buy this one. You need a little DIY skills and the ability to read and comprehend basic instructions. Be warned that while it is a "steel shed" the steel is of the poorest quality and you will be able to bend components of the frame by sneezing on them. But if all you need is protection from the elements, then this shed is the one for you! Unless the aforementioned elements are snow. Then don't buy this shed. It would likely collapse after a heavy snowfall, possibly killing every man, woman, and child inside.

Be aware that this product is simply designed as a shelter and would be relatively easy for some one to break into even with a lock on the doors. Took me by myself about 6 hrs total to build the plywood/pressure treated base and the shed.

This lead to assembling and then reassembling stages of the shed because the orientation of some key parts could not be seen clearly. Be sure to wear gloves, there are lots of sharp edges.
