Answer:
Yes. I used this film in my sunroom and I think it is wonderful. I was able to cut it to the exact size and applied it with no difficulty at all. It is much easier to apply than other window film.

Looking for decorative but total privacy. Can large shapes, such as a car, be made out at point blank range? What about if you were to shine a light through it? Thanks.

Answer:
My experience is that you can only see about a foot beyond the film when you have your face up into it. And thats not very clear at all. Some designs are more opaque than others. At 5 or 6 feet, I dont think you can see anything really, at least not with the type I got. Go to the store and you should be able to find some of the types as samples and test it for yourself. Thats what I did.

Answer:
Etched Glass has the most amount of privacy among our neutral designs. In natural light, Etched Glass makes objects that are 4-5 feet away virtually unidentifiable. If the garage is dark it would help keep intruders from seeing the contents. A flashlight would reflect off the film and make it difficult to see inside, though the ambient light might reveal color and approximate size of the object.

Answer:
Our films are vinyl and are designed for privacy/blocking an unwanted view. The level of density is the same from both sides.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 75 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by After 8 months in shower, still looks perfect! I hate frosted windows but had windows in both my bathroom showers on the first floor. This was the perfect solution. I waited to write this review to see how it held up. After daily use in our master bathroom shower for the last 8 months, it looks just like the day it was installed. After using this, I will never buy frosted windows again. May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what was needed! Installed the "etched glass" film on our rv plexiglass shower doors. Turned out great! March 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy this Product Instructions on use of products were easy to follow. Very happy with this product. April 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Used within our business. Pretty easy to apply. The product is barely see-through and adds the privacy that we needed. Would have costed at least $1,000 to have done professionally. Saved us tons of money and looks fairly professional. March 8, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pattern has 'lines' in it you can see, ok if you cut it so lines are vertical This film was easy to install for those who can follow directions. Included squeegee was great. Measure twice, cut once. Don't get greedy and try to fit to exact window dimensions, ok to leave 1/16" of play, will save you from hassle of trimming later (which can easily result in tears, trimming is not easy even with sharp utility knife). Make sure to totally soak window with water / couple drops of soap solution, then make sure to soak outside of film to allow squeegee to work. Pros: Easy to install, inexpensive film, privacy, diffuses light well. Cons: Pattern is meh...not really something you want to look at, kind of like bathroom textured glass. It's utilitarian at best. PATTERN HAS VISIBLE 'LINES' you can see if you cut it so pattern is horizontal. That's a real negative. If you cut it so these lines are vertical, they will not be noticeable. When I say lines, they arn't lines like you would draw with a pencil, just disruption of the pattern that you can notice if you look at it. For that, I am not too happy because once installed, you are stuck with it. So, pattern isn't high quality, but poor quality on that end. One note - the instructions say the film needs to be replaced every 2 years in places with alot of sunlight. That alone is a red flag. We'll see how well this film holds up. March 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Meh...It's ok... It's kind of a pain to install. There are quite a few air bubbles viewable after the sun goes down and you are looking at in with just indoor lighting. It did filter out the light quite a bit so that worked out decently February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Install Great product, easy to install. I was very happy with the look of it February 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product for DIY'ers The product effectively provides privacy while allowing light to pass through. I installed the product on a set of French doors leading to my master bath. The product was relatively easy to install. The only challenge I had was a result of minor inconsistencies in the sizes of the individual glass panes and not the product itself. This resulted in having to trim the film while applying it to the glass. If you cut the film even slightly too large the edges won't adhere properly to the glass and need to be carefully trimmed. NOTE: it's VERY important to maintain a sharp edge on you cutting tool. Even moderately dull edges will cause tearing of the product while trimming. I also found it a bit difficult to completely remove air bubbles. Although almost all air bubbles were easily removed with a squeegee, there were the occasional tiny air bubbles that I found virtually impossible to remove. I'm a bit OCD so this probably wouldn't be an issue for most people and isn't overtly noticeable. Overall I'm very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend this product for others to use. January 19, 2015
