Will this work over paint?

Recently my husband and I bought a house that had a bare concrete floor in the basement. Between the time that we first saw the house to the time we made our offer on it, the seller had painted the concrete in the basement. We were originally wanting to acid stain it, but with the fresh coat of paint on there now, that will not be possible. So, I'm wondering if this stain could be used over the freshly painted concrete floor?

Hello Loveaddict44,
Great question. Yes, our Solid Color Stain would work well over previously painted concrete floor as long as it's still in good condition and clean.
Best regards,
Kevin

Answer:
Hello Brian,
Great question. We recommend allowing the coating to fully cure for a minimum of 72 hours before driving on it. For extra precaution, we'd suggest parking on cardboard for 2 weeks.
Best regards,
Kevin

Answer:
Hello osu16,
Thanks for your interest in our concrete stain. Yes, this product can be applied to a pool deck (just not to the inside of a pool where it'd be submerged under water). Please note that the higher moisture of a pool deck may shorten the lifespan of the coating. For best results, please follow all label instructions. Well wishes!

Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for your question. Applying our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer will increase adhesion, but it's not necessary. We do recommend etching the bare concrete beforehand though. This will make sure the stain penetrates and adheres properly. Best wishes! - Sara

Rated 3 out of 5 by from time will tell It is a little early for a review, but the product was easy to use and the color was correct. Let's see how it holds up to the weather and traffic. Hopefully I will take the time time for a real review in a year or so.
