Rated 5 out of 5Â by HDKevin Excellent protection and coverage
I did not use this on old weathered wood, rather new OSB for a trailer. It went on smoother than I expected. Slightly thicker than semi-gloss paint; maybe like a pudding consistency. Did not need any special equipment. Just 3/8 nap roller. It is very potent and the odor was strong so make sure you're in a well ventilated area. Dried fast and covered well. The can indicates that 50 square feet with two coats per gallon. I was able to do two coats of 100 square feet with about 1.5 gallons. Mind you it was new OSB not deeply weathered decking. I liked this product because the side boards are now water proof and extremely protected from the elements and product. I plan on doing the wood floor decking on the trailer once the pressure treated wood dries out.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Virginia Good for a very old deck
My deck hadn't been taken care of for the 30 years before we moved in 6 years ago. Since then, I've been sealing it every two years. Saw this on TV and figured the deck is in such poor condition I had nothing to lose. It applied easily, it does cover all the splinters and fills in the cracks (of which there are many on my deck). It's a resin paint, it does completely block out any nuance of the wood. I wouldn't use it on a nice, new deck, but I think I may have just gotten a few more years out of my old one. Would definitely use it on a concrete pool deck.

This product is the best. It took more than we thought it would to do our deck but it looks and feels great.

Does anyone out there have a good solution for getting between the boards on the deck? I love this product but am having a lot of trouble getting in between the boards. I understand it can not be applied via a sprayer so forget that. A foam applicator was working great but wore out very quickly. A brush just doesn't get the coverage needed and of course a roller doesn't get down in there either. The roller is great for the flat surfaces and goes quickly. Thanks!

Just finished my second coat and am impressed. My deck is 20 years old and looking pretty weathered. Looked into replacing the deck but was pretty costly. Purchased 10 gal of DeckOver. Took me about 6 hours to do the first coat using 5 gallons of DeckOver. Waited about a week due to weather and time before doing the second coat. Took about 2 hours and 2 1/2 gallons for the second coat. So far seems pretty durable but time will tell. The paint is very thick which makes is pretty slow to apply but covers well. The fumes are really strong, wouldnt want to paint inside without good ventilation. I used a 3/8 roller which made for a nice finish. I only used a brush on the really bad spots, I just let the roller fill in the rest. So far it looks great and feels good on the feet. If it lasts for a couple years, It was well worth it. Time will tell.
