Hello John,
Thanks for your question. Our DeckOver stain is not designed to stand up to the wear expected on garage floors, so we'd recommend against applying it there. You might instead consider our 1-Part Epoxy Floor Paint: http://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-1-Gal-PFC-20-Coronado-1-Part-Epoxy-Concrete-and-Garage-Floor-Paint-93001/203936906?keyword=behr+1-part+epoxy+coronado (notice: I gave a link Read More

For prep, we recommend removing any loose or peeled old paint, sanding the frayed edges of that coating smooth, lightly sanding any areas of the coating that are glossy, spot etching any bare concrete, cleaning the whole surface, spot priming any bare concrete with a product like our No. 880 Bonding Primer, and then applying the paint. Please follow all label instructions for best results, and well wishes!

Hello Chip,
Thanks for your question. Yes, it's okay that the deck was recently power washed, and yes, we would recommend prepping the surface with a product like our No. 63 Wood Cleaner which will open up the pores of the wood to promote adhesion. Please be sure to follow all label instructions, and best wishes.

I'm hoping its just soap & water cleanup and I don't have to remove all of the old stuff and then reseal.

Hi there,
Thanks for writing in, and sorry to hear Deckover has began to wear off. If the coating is worn in more than just one area, it's best to remove as much of the loose coating is necessary. Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Woodland Green DeckOver Paint This paint is very thick and difficult to apply. You must push the paint into each crack and hole. It dries quickly and evenly, and cleanup is easy with just water. It covered more than advertised so we have a lot left over from our nearly 1,000 sf project. The color of Woodland Green is lighter and more bluish than the color card, the color shown online, etc. A real disappointment! We held the color chip from the brochure next to the trim on our house and it seemed to match almost exactly. The actual paint does not! Attached are two pictures (the pine needles are from a storm). Other than the color, and expense of extra 5-gallon buckets that we didn't need, the paint seems to be high quality and is non-slip. The price was higher than appropriate for really thick paint with non-skid added. I just missed the $40 rebate which would have remedied the too high price. September 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Did everything they said it would. Used it on my 2 small (10' x 10') decks which are about 5 years old and the pressure treated lumber was starting to check and deteriorate. The DeckOver went on easily using brush, roller and pads. Filled the cracks and gave a nice finish. I did 2 coats on both decks and still have some leftover, maybe 2 gals. from the 5. The decks look great and the light green color we chose matches our house color and brightens things up compared to the dingy wood finish. Only time will tell how good this holds up, I'll let you know. :) September 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks fantastic! Makes my 20 year old deck floor look great. No its not perfect but it worked very well. Just added good prep, sealed some wide cracks after the first coat and put on a second coat. Now I can get a few more years before having to replace the decking. December 17, 2013
