is this low odor ?

I am looking for a sealer/primer that is low odor because of allergies.
Asked by: Anonymous
Dear cher, Thank you very much for your question. PREMIUM PLUS® Interior All-in-One Primer & Sealer is a low odor formula and is also zero VOC. However, odor is a subjective sense, so I suggest you test the product odor to see if it is acceptable per your allergies. You can purchase the primer and test a small area of your wall. Or, you can ask a Home Depot paint associate to open the product at the store so you can smell it prior to purchase. Please allow the product to breath for at least 30 seconds prior to sniffing as the initial opening of the lid may have a stronger odor at first. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used to Prime Cabinet Paint Job Purchased a quart of the All in One Primer sealer to refinish my oak kitchen cabinet boxes. Sanded, cleaned and wiped the surface first and applied the primer. While it says it is self leveling, it did leave slight paint strokes or roller stipple although I planned to sand the primer coat so this didn't bother me much. Sanding the primer went fairly well with a random orbital sander. I started sanding after 2.5 hours drying time and used 220 and 150 grit. I found using the 150 grit made the job easier/quicker but had to be careful about burning off the primer along edges of the cabinets. Primer did not always sand to a fine dust. I was still able to get to a smooth finish. Adhesion met expectations. On the side of the cabinets where I was most concerned with adhesion, I could not scrape off the primer with my finger nail. I was able to peal the primer off in some other areas but it was clear the primer was not fully dry. I had bleed through in 2 spots. Either I missed a spot from a cleaning perspective or it was wood tannin. Knowing I didn't give the full dry period to seal in the stain, I didn't consider this a product failure. Overall, I wasn't second guessing my choice in using the primer and would use again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paint for the Lazy So I wanted to paint my dining table but I did not want to do sand it down first. Am I glad I was lazy? Yes, because no one can tell I did not sand first. This paint provided the perfect amount of color and layer to simply paint over my dining table and chairs without all the hassel and mess of sanding. Would I do it all over? Absolutley! The variety of colors is also great! My dining set has never received so many compliments. Thanks Behr!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One coat? Yes! The room was a rich, bright, daffodil yellow. I was pleasantly surprised that it only took one coat of primer to completely cover the yellow. Great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Began using this product on rental properties several years ago. Coverage great, finish great, durability great. It is a little on the expensive side however if I had to purchase primer and paint it would cost at least this much. And, I would have more labor involved if I had to paint a separate primer and paint coat. As I said I began using this product about five years ago and all surfaces have held up beautifully, no peeling.
