I'm painting the outside of a barn that is already painted. If I use 2 coats of red paint will I need a primer first?
Asked by: charlie
Hello charlie, We appreciate your question! This product is self-priming over previously painted and bare surfaces, so if the existing paint is free of peeling, wear, etc., then you can apply the Barn & Fence right over it. Please follow all label instructions for the proper prep and application, for best results. Well wishes for your project!

Asked by: wirenut
Dear wirenut, Thank you very much for your question. BEHR PREMIUM PLUS® Exterior Semi-Gloss paint should be applied when air and surface temperatures are between 35°-90°F. If you have concerns about going into colder months and needing to paint in lower temperatures, you might want to consider choosing BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® Exterior Paint & Primer in One. The product can be applied when air and surface temperatures are between 35°-90°F. Thank you.

Does this color actually have a pearly finish? I am looking for a shade that is truly like a peach pearl.

Asked by: Justanotherbrat
Hi there, Thanks for writing in with your question. There are different variations of a peach pearl, so the color you selected will work great. You can also check out Island Hopping M180-1 for a different shade. I suggest trying 8 oz. samples first. Have a nice day! Regards, Giovanna

1-gal. #N160-1 Cameo Stone Semi-Gloss Enamel Exterior Paint is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I purchased BEHR PREMIUM PLUS exterior semi-gloss enamel to paint my front door. The paint is very thick. So much so that the stirrer will stand straight up in the can even after the paint was shaken at the store and stirred constantly while I was applying it to the door. After several coats and sanding in between the finish is blotchy, shiny in spots and flat in others and you can see every brush stroke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best paint I have ever used Our house is 42 years old and has cedar siding trim with brick. The cedar was beginning to deteriorate and I didn't think it would take another winter, but last spring (April 2013) I tried Behr Premium Plus Semi Gloss. It went on very easily and looked beautiful, but the real test was this last winter (2013/2014) which was one of the worst in history with lots of below zero cold and snow. My cedar siding still looks exactly like it did last spring when I put it on. I also painted deck railings with it and they look great too... even after that horrible winter. I LOVE it! I will never buy anything but Behr in the future for both interior and exterior.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Paint We buy Behr paint all the time. We have used this exterior paint for many purposes on our property over the years. It lasts really well and we buy this even when there is another paint that is cheaper. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wrong Color for Front Door I am painting a new front door. The first coat of paint went on smoothly, but the door appeared bright pink (I had chosen a dark red color). After the second coat, it is still a pinkish color but a little darker, but still not the color that I chose.. I am waiting for spring time to put on a 3rd coat. I didn't know that I would have to put so many coats of paint on this door. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Paint I painted my house 5 years ago and used this semi-gloss for all of the trim. It went on easy and covered in one coat. Even after 5 years of Michigan weather I can still touch it up and the sheen and color still match. I have had to replace some trim boards and window sills due to issues with the materials installed by the builder years ago and the paint matches perfectly. I have never had this good of a product on the exterior of a house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny I was anxious about painting the outside trim and door of my house. Even though this paint was expensive, I bought one gallon to give it a try. This paint is AMAZING!!!! It covered up small cracks, blemishes and dried with the look of brand new. Coverage was ample, as I only need one coat on most areas. What a time saver!! And a bonus was that clean-up was a cinch -- simply use water. It has been six months since I used the paint, and everything looks great, especially my front door. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great!! I used this paint to redo the doors on my new house. I love the way that it went on. It was a bit thicker than typical wall paint, but in the end, who cares? The only reason thing I've found to be a pain is that it scratches a little when my dog shuts the dokr behind himself. I didn't lower the star rating, because even though it's scratched a little bit, it's been 4-20x per day over 4 month's time and I've only had a few small spots to touch up. It's been a really great product, and I used so little of my pint, that I'll have touchup paint for years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
