I've been using BEHR paints for over the last fifteen years.
I have owned four homes and have always painted my interior myself. Our current home I had painted the berooms and baths but decided to hire pros to do the bulk of the house. I had insisted that the painters use BEHR paint. While the crew was out the house I had shown the bedrooms to one of the painters and the owner which loved my work and was impredded with the sheen of paint. After the painters were finished and I meet with the owner he told me that his guys lik using the BEHR paint and would consider using it in the future. Less coats meant finishing faster with less cost.

My wife used this paint in one of the spare rooms and found it difficult to use and covered poorly. My brother in law worked for years as a contractor and refused to use Behr paint after using it once. My father also refuses to use Behr paint after painting a hallway. Did I listen? No because the reviews were good. I painted a bathroom with this paint and needed two coats to cover Glidden paint a few shades darker. Any area I cut in with a brush needed three or four coats. The areas of the wall I repaired and primed needed four coats to cover the Kilz I used. Behr paint was a huge mistake.
I WILL NEVER USE ANY BEHR PAINT EVER AGAIN.

Regular Behr products are something I've been using for years. I love REGULAR Behr paint. But stay FAR away from the paint with primer. I used a dark color (Grand Rapids) over a white wall that had been painted in flat. As my house is 50 years old, the plaster has "waves" in it. Well, that created some thin spots. Well, this should be no problem, as I have painted two coats with Behr paint for years, and never had a problem. Painting this second coat was like painting over high gloss. It didn't want to adhere. And quite honestly, looked more glossy than it should. I double checked the can, and am indeed using satin, although its in EVERY language but English on the can. Now I get to sand the paint off the wall, and return to the store to buy the SAME color, in regular Behr paint. Thank you Behr for ruining a project I was so excited for.

We used this paint to go from a deep red to a light and crisp mint green in the dining room. We were convinced we would need three coats to cover the red, but after two solid coats, there was no red to be found! It covered brilliantly and dried very evenly. Made all the difference!! We'll be using this paint for the rest of the house.

We just purchased our first home and I have painted almost every room with Behr paint. I love how well it goes on and each color is perfect. Wouldn't buy anything else!
