When we moved in our walls were covered in FLAT blue painted walls,,,blue was not a color that looked right - and flat paint showed each and EVERY mark - we purchased this paint on the reviews from Consumer Reports - It costs a lot more than other paints, but if you don't want to go back and paint again in a few years, we really liked this option.
Despite what they tell you at the paint counter, you will PROBABLY need two coats, especially if covering a darker wall color.
This paint stacks right up with other independent paint store paints - I just wish that the price was a bit more along the lines of the average Home Depot Shopper,,,,we go to HD to NOT have to pay the prices of those 'independent paint stores'!
That being said, we are very happy with the coverage and the richness and depth of the colors - they look like they were professionally painted!

This is my first Behr paint purchase and I will never purchase it again. Acrylic paint that does not roll or brush on well. Shows every roll or brush stroke. I bought it to paint a maple dresser white and I am very unsatisfied with the results. A primer and two coats of paint still have not covered satisfactorily. Does not wash out of brushes well. Globs in bristles when washed. I would never buy it again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by wiz99 It is taking 3 coats to cover a medium shade of blue!
I was hoping to at least only have to apply 2 coats, however even with the so called primer added it is taking 3 coats to cover a light to medium shade of blue paint on the existing walls.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TXmom THIN !! What happened??? Open the can first BEFORE buying!!
I have used Behr Premium Plus Ultra paint in the past, and was so thrilled each time: it went on in one coat, covered everything and handled like smooth thick cream, no runs, no drips, no streaks, no splatters. I used to LOVE Behr Premium Plus Ultra.
BUT THIS WEEKEND???? What happened? I have used a half a gallon already on just one small 8 x 10 wall...2 and 3 coats. Over and over trying to remove streaks and runs and thin spots.
Just a warning: Something has happened to their new "low VOC" formula. It does not handle like the paints from last year and before. It's NOT thick...this gallon is as thin as cheap paint. ( It's not because it was mixed improperly. It's a pale off-white colorant added).
Suggestion: ASK TO SEE THE PAINT before it gets mixed...open the can to see if it's the same thick paint it used to be. If it runs off the paint stick like milk, don't buy it. Save your money and buy a cheap paint if you want runny.
I am so dissapointed...I used to LOVE this brand of paint. I won't buy it again unless they open it in front of me.

This exterior white primer/paint is the worst paint I've ever experienced. I've needed 3 coats to just refresh white house trim.
