Is this paint ready-to-use right out of the can for white trim or does it color added?

I bought Behr product 7753, Premium Plus Ultra Satin Enamel, well, my boyfriend picked it up that is. It looks white in the can but when I wen to apply it on my bathroom trim to touch it up, it just came out as white-transparent and not like a solid color at all. I don't know if this because he accidentally picked up a blank base or what? Because if this is what it's supposed to be I would have to use 4 coats by the looks of it...HELP?!
Asked by: Cowhitehead
7753 is a DEEP BASE and color must be added to it or else it will dry clear. The same goes for 7754, which is a MEDIUM BASE. The only cans that can be used directly off the shelf are ones that have a color indicated on it, such as ULTRA PURE WHITE or SWISS COFFEE.

5-gal. #PPU3-16 Maple Glaze Eggshell Enamel Interior Paint is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 1270.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent paint! Buy floetrol to add to your paint. This is excellent paint. I painted my daughters room and it looks great. My strong suggestion is that you buy Floetrol to add to the paint. It eliminates brush and/or roller marks and to me it seems to even out the paint application. It will also help with some of the issues I read where people complained that the paint "lifted" back onto the roller or had roller marks. The actual issue is painting technique and/or cheap roller covers. Don't cheap out on the rollers and make sure you load enough paint.. REASONS WHY PAINT "LIFTS" WHEN ROLLING OR SHOWS ROLLER MARKS (1) Rolling back over the freshly applied paint after it has had enough time to start to "set up". If you're going to roll over a freshly applied film, do so while the paint is still wet - not after it's had a few (or several) minutes to dry. (2) If you can see the product "lifting" from the surface as you roll over it (and not because of what's described in #1), that is a tell-tale sign of a cheap roller cover. If you buy floetrol and a good roller cover you will be pleased with the outcome. The paint results will look solid and uniform. I can speak from experience because initially every time I tried to paint it always looked awful and I had all but given up on ever painting again; then I received some advice from a friend who paints professionally. I hope this will help someone else out too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product and price As always Home Depot laveen met and exceeded performance standards with the custom color mixing and service. I use an older color not on the displays and they looked it up and was able to match the color perfectly. Paint is top notch with a very high end look and feel. I buy and sell homes and the paint I use from Home Depot is always noted as looking very expensive

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed I want to start out by saying I have always bought Behr paint because it covers so well. This type of Behr paint is the medium priced paint. I thought the coverage was average. Usually one gallon was enough to do a project. This time I will have to go back to complete my project. Even since Behr went to the Marquee brand, I don't think there other brands are as good. Might be switching to another brand after this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product now than 7 years ago. Professional Painter of 14 years. Had to use Behr products due to customer request. Worst product I have ever used aside from Walmart in house brand. Yeah it is cost effective at first but when you spend twice as much on Behr you could have bought Sherwin Williams and got true one coat coverage

I've used this for years in eggshell, bought a new home and bought 20 gallons to be painted, when they were done it looks like satin, not happy. They should tell the consumer when the formula changes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great color. The color is amazingly white white! However, it would still require to paint two coats to entirely cover up the old paint marks. Overall, it is a great product.

Based on the rave reviews by the homedepot sales people I spent $6000 on premium plus ultra exterior to paint my house. The siding is cedar, the existing paint in reasonable condition no flaking, blisters or rot. I washed the siding the with cleaner purchased from homedepot let it dry for a couple of days and painted using sprayer, roller and brush. 90% went on no problems but blisters appeared on about 10% of the surface. Homedepot said that it was probably my problem either did not wait for it dry between coats or the siding was too hot. I am fairly sure that this was not the case but they were adamant that it could not be the paint. So I sanded down the bubbles, made sure that the surfaces were dry and reapplied, after a couple of days bubbles again? sanding down 10% of my house and reapplying the paint took about as much time as paint the whole house so I was not happy. Went back to homedepot and the said to sand down again and use glidden gripper primer? (Behr is supposed to be a primer and paint and why glidden not Behr for the primer only?) Anyway sanded down the blisters again, applied the primer, waited .....no blisters. Put on the Behr.....no blisters. Of course then I had to put on another coat so all in all. My time on the project was double what it should of been, my cost increased by 35% because of the extra paint and materials and the siding looks weird because now some portions of the siding have been sanded smooth. I spend about 10k every year at homedepot and normally I have no problems with their products and customer service but what can you do when the paint sucks? you can't return the paint, it is already on the wall, you cant claim back the wasted time and you cant claim back the extra money spent on additional paint/materials? I have attached photos of the blisters and then the siding after primer and topcoat. I just did not have time to fill in all the big ugly holes from the blisters there were too many , but man they ruin the look of the finish.
