The elongated version fits fine on most models.
However, my experience is they break easy and you are better off just getting a child seat to sit on top.
It will save you time, money and aggravation.

Not sure specifically about Kohler, but it seems to be universal for elongated. I don't think you have to worry about being brand specific - all toilet seats seem to have universal attachment points, and you only have to worry about the bowl shape.

Hi Rita,
Good question. Most toilets in the United States are within a standard size, give or take a little bit. In general, an elongated seat should fit and elongated toilet. You shouldn't have a problem unless you happen to have a unique bowl shape/style.
The best way to be 100% certain is to measure the bowl and compare it to the toilet seat.

The best way to be 100% certain is to measure the bowl and compare it to the toilet seat.
The dimensions can be found in the specification tab on the Home Depot website below the picture. This one measures:
Front to Back (height): 18.875" (this starts from the middle of the bolt hold to the front tip of the seat)
Side to Side (width): 14.125"
Bolt Spread: 5.5" (distance between the bolt holes/hinges)
I would expect that you should have no troubleds with this product and your Kohler elongated toilet.
I hope that helps!

All you'll need to install this seat is a wrench and a flathead screwdriver. I don't remember the size of wrench, but if you have an adjustable crescent wrench you won't have to worry about that.

NextStep Elongated Closed Front Toilet Seat in White is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 144.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from great, but broke If I had reviewed this a few months ago, it would have been much higher. I love the toddler seat attachment. It did start scratching the main seat a little, but I can live with that. Unfortunately, the toddler seat starting becoming unattached too often. Every time my toddler would put it down, it would come off and she would need my help getting it back on (so yeah, annoying). Then the peg that holds the toddler seat broke on one side (because it was going on and off so much I'm sure). We had it less than a year. I contacted the company to see if anything can be done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! We used to have to pull our Elmo kids seat insert out of the cabinet each time. This is brilliant. The seat is built-in to the upper lid and held in place with a magnet. All you do is pull it down when you want to use it, otherwise any normal adult using the toilet would probably not even notice it has a toddler seat built-in. This one is expensive, but is the only one I have found with the slow close lid. All you do is pull it past verical and it has some kind of shocks in it that lets it down real slow...also preventing loud lid slams and smashed fingers!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stains Easily / Cannot withstand common bathroom cleaning product. This seat takes up stains easily. Even the Bemis website warns that urine, sweat, toilet boil cleaners, and "most bathroom cleaners" will stain the seat and lid. Bemis website warns owners not use any product that contains "bleach, aerosols, vinegar, essential oils, cleaning wipes". Common bathroom cleaners like Kaboom will cause the paint to come off on your cleaning rag. This is a $50 toilet seat for children that cannot resist urine and sweat stains and whose paint can be stripped off with common bathroom cleaners! PIECE OF JUNK!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute a waste of money. An absolute waste of money. Children's part broke in two weeks, whole seat fell apart in a couple of months. Very poor quality plastic connections and material was used. DO NOT BUY IT

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good quality but not easy for toddler to use I loved the idea of this seat but it was not good in practice. The child seat is very flat, my child could easily squirm around until no longer over the hole in the seat. Since it's so flat, even a girl leaning back a little can misfire over the top of the seat. is sort of small. The seat needs some more contour to let a little one know where they need to plant their tush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sooooo much better than the seats you hang on the wall This was a quick 5 minute install, and we don't have to have one of those nasty potty seats on the floor that we have to empty every time, or one that goes off and on our full size toilet, and has something to hang it on the wall when not in use. Who wants that hanging on their bathroom wall? Anyway, bought a second one after we decided the first was working.
Date published: 2012-11-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it this does exactly what we need it to do. we have a small bath so no room for her own potty seat and not really room to even store one that sits on top (and I don't really want to see one every time I walk in). The soft close hinges are good for a 2 year old that has to do everything herself. She doesn't slam the lid down. The magnet that holds the potty seat up when not in use is very strong. We've never had a problem with it falling and being in our way but she can still put it down herself. Also, the bolts that connect it to the toilet don't loosen over time. Very happy we spent the $ on this. If you are considering this one, go ahead and spend the $.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i love this product! I researched a lot of potty chairs and my husband wanted an insert little potty for our 2 year old. This one is sturdy, easy to install, my 21/2 year old can sit on it independently. It has a magnet to fasten the little seat to the lid, which is great because my son can lower it by himself. Others have a lock which is difficult for kids. The slow hinge is perfect and works great! I have 2 of them.
