This is my second Mouse, used the 1st one for years and finally wore it out. The new model is much improved. Quieter, less vibration and a new design which makes changing from fingertip sanding to full pad sanding nice and easy.

The sander packs a lot of punch for its small(er) size, and the included pads/paper or a great starter set. I especially like the interchangeable tip options — great for contouring and tight spaces.

It is an excellent product. It was the first time I use something like that and worked wonderful for my project. I really recommend.

Perfect for detail sanding of furniture. I also use this for sanding down spackle when in a hurry and it performs the job almost as nicely as doing it by hand. Great price!! Really pleased with the purchase and have already recommended to friends and family.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RRR814 Great Value, POOR PREFORMANCE!
So, i bought this sander last December when my previous sander died, It was a great value and right in my budget to finish the sanding on the Adirondack Chairs that i was building for my Sister for Christmas. Literaly, that was the last time i used the sander to finish my project. This year i decided to make her a table to match the chairs... as i started my sanding... i noticed that the longer i used it, the pad on the sander was SERIOUSLY vibrating and almost becoming unmanageable in handeling it, i shut it off and inspected the unit.. I discovered the pad is connected to the base attached with 3 scews into 3 PLASTIC LEG PINS. it would apear that these legs regulate and distribute the vibration to achieve the sanding that it provides. One of these "legs" had broken off and a second one was breaking.
OK, #1) Really? plastic parts being engineered for a sanders primary funtion that has an output of high revolution & vibration??? Well i'm no Engineer, but even i can tell you that this is Just POOR Engineering!!! #2) how about in house TESTING so that these malfuntions can be discovered and reengineered BEFORE selling them to the general public? #3) This part can not be ordered for repair. And #4) This product was used only twice and never came close to paying for itself.
I will be getting another sander, but it wont be manufactured by Black and Decker. Yes, it was very affordable but the preformance was VERY disapointing.
it kind of bums me out because I really like this sander too.

I usually shy away from black and Decker but this is the only sander that could get to the tight little places on high end teak furniture. I probably have 30+ hours sanding with it so far and it still works well. The finger tip attachment was the main reason I bought it and it works great. In not crazy about the other two contour attachments though, and the dust collector should be discarded straight to the garbage right out of the box, but if your sanding outside or with a fan on you, who needs it anyway.

I have had this for well over ten years and it's very handy and works great. I use it to sand walls and trim before painting. I have also use it to sand furniture before staining or painting. It is light and compact and had been great for DIY projects I do around the house.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sam13 Poor quality.
Plastic used to attach the face plate broke on one side so bounces all over, not useable.. Not happy. Very poor quality, use for the second time and now its broke. My last one lasted for 10 plus years.
