Customer Questions & Answers

What is the best way to clean and dry the roller to use it again?

Asked by: Lacey
Another great, one-time investment to keep brushes and roller covers like new is a Brush & Roller Spinner. SKU 116-295. Use it prep or help clean an applicator after painting.

why roller slides

Roller slides as much as it rolls what could be wrong. could it be me, paint or roller cover
Asked by: electronicsman
Roller will slide if using foam roller, if old roller sometimes paint may not be cleaned off, or cheap not sturdy roller doesn't work as well. Make sure it rolls freely with a paint cover before you use it.

Can i use with water based poly to finish hardwood floor??

Asked by: Iano
This would not be recommended. The biggest problem with using rollers for floor finishes is that they tend to cause bubbles in the finish. A better option would be a flocked foam pad like SKU 469-968. Pads tend to spread the floor finish more smoothly and evenly. Refills are available as well. Thanks,

They are more like standard rollers that are thicker. DO NOT buy this product. I filed a formal complaint at the Home Depot that I bought these at. I only used to prime some walls and the final coat using true microfiber rolls. These are expensive and not worth the $$$--a cheap roller works better.. Also these were the only microfiber rollers I found at several Home Depot stores--so I bought real microfiber rollers at a competitors.. HD should bring back true microfiber rollers...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "Best" Micro Fiber Roller I bought two 3 packs, returned one pack. The roller fibers came off in the paint, now I have a wall with cloth fibers in the paint. Had to waste my time going back, standing in line for a refund and then getting new rollers, Wooster, they were very good. I will make it a point to not buy any "Best" products.

The nap flattened out after painting part of one wall approximately 10' x 10' area. Another person was painting the ceiling and had the same results. It is a big room. Time to go back to get another brand that I have used before. It is a little more expensive and will do the job.

Be careful using these rollers, you can get way too much paint on your walls. When you apply with this roller it looks a bit bumpy (used and enamel paint) but it dried quite smooth. I give it 4 stars because it does keep so much pain in these very thick rollers so if you are attempting to apply a thin coat, use caution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad experience with microfiber roller pads The microfibers on this roller pad started to separate from the pad onto my walls. and unfortunately onto my cathedral ceiling. As I applied with a extension rod I could not remove these pieces.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sheds on the wall. Used for approximately 15 minutes. Roller kept shedding on the wall. Had to keep wiping wall clean. Threw away the remaing 2 from the 3 pack.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for latex Im a professional painter. While the fabric material for these rollers wotk very well for the small 3 inch detail "hot dog" rollers, they are not effective for finish work. The problem is that the material applies then "flocks " the product back off the wall. this means coverage is very poor, especially if you are going with a drastic color change. The best roller for interior walls are the snow-white soft fine knap rollers (Purdys are a good exmaple). these rollers are great for wood staining large areas or polyurethane work but NOT for interior latex paint.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality Paint Roller Cover I've done a lot of painting, but I've never seen a roller cover like this. The microfiber is very soft and seemed to be completely lint free. The cover is well crafted with a plastic core and tapered edges. My cover was rated for "smooth to semi smooth surfaces," and my application was on a smooth surface. The paint application was even, but it was a bit textured due to the nap of the microfiber, so I gave it an overall rating of four stars.
