Would this work on snow shovels, snow roof rakes, and snow blowers to reduce sticking/clumping? It looks to be way cheaper than the special 3M dry lube marketed for that purpose...
Asked by: HeWhoMustObey
I use this on the impeller/discharge chute of my great to keep the snow moving. However, it does wear off and you have to refresh it every time you snowblow..... I buy it by the case. It also works great on bicycle chains and gears. Use it anywhere you need lube on 'open' gears and you don't want those gears to pick up dirt/dust which would cause premature wear.

is it safe for use on or near electronics?

Asked by: Crankyjoe
It is advertised on the Blaster web site as "non-conductive"....meaning it will not 'carry' current (ie: short circuit) to any electronic device to ground.

Yes it should work fine there, but if it rains or gets wet you will need to reapply.

9.3 oz. Advanced Dry Lube with Teflon is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Casement window helper I used this dry lubricant on my Anderson casement windows. It worked very well and makes opening the windows as if they were new. Goes on wet and dries to a powdery finish so it won't attract dirt, dust , leaves etc. key is to work it into the guides on top and bottom of the window after you clean off the accumulated debris.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for low-compression fixes This is essentially the lubricant PTFE in spray form. It is not a 'compression' lubricant for such purposes as the metal gears of heavy machinery. It is best suited to sliding parts, such as drawers, windows, locks and other such light mechanical systems. For those purposes it is extremely effective. It has to be well shaken to mix the powdered PTFE with the wetting agent, and to comes out very wet, easily penetrating hard to reach places where it dries to a slick, thin white coating that is easy to clean up where there is excess. After penetration you have to let it dry and not use the device while it forms this slippery coating. This is the same process for applying other dry lubricants. I've used this for a number of things, but I'm most impressed with how well it lubs small fans, such as the fans in computers which I often have to lubricate to stop them from making noise. Obviously it is only a temporary fix for any lubricant because all lubricants eventually work their way out from the points of contact, but rather than replace a fan that is fine for a few years if lubricated properly, I'd rather spend my money on this stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on stuck windows This stuff does a GREAT job on stuck windows! The propellant evaporates immediately and leaves behind the lubricant. It's dry so it doesn't go away, attract dirt, or get sticky. We can open our 35 year old windows with one finger now. I know this because I proved it to my husband!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No lasting smell! I just used this on on my hinges in the house and I have to say that it works great. It dried very quickly and had no lasting odor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff I have used this on my garage door, my table saw top, rip fence, and cross cut miter gage slots, door hinges, tools, and about anything else one could name. It dries super fast and works very well in all my applications. No complaints about this product, it works great. AD2

Rated 1 out of 5 by from left white stain on dark furniture The label says you can use it on "drawers"; I think that implies wooden drawers, since stuck drawers are such a common problem with wooden furniture. But the fact is it leaves white residue on the wood; it runs and gets into the grain and doesn't want to come out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on squeeks I used this on my easy chair and on door hinges. I don't care much for the white film it leaves on the items, but it did stop the noise on both the chair and door hinge. Will probably purchase the clear spray next time, but this one worked just fine for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unstuck my Ignition Key I can only give testament to the results for a single purpose. I bought this product to un-stick my car key which was stuck in the ignition of my Toyota Avalon. The key would turn but not pull out. After a couple of squirts and a little jiggling, the key came out. I'm thrilled that I only spend $5 instead of hundreds of dollars on car repair.
