Last year the vole's ate all my carrots and beets, I didn't know I had a problem until harvest time and when I pulled the veg, every one was gnawed on. Will the repellent poison the fruit or will it be safe to eat if I apply this to that area of my veg garden

If your question is about watering the product after it's initially spread on the ground, you need to water it heavily. I applied it right before it started raining to get maximum ground penetration. If you don't want to wait for it to rain, I'd suggest using a sprinkler and watering the area for an hour.

If your question is about watering the product after it's initially spread on the ground, you need to water it heavily. I applied it right before it started raining to get maximum ground penetration. If you don't want to wait for it to rain, I'd suggest using a sprinkler and watering the area for an hour.
If your question is whether or not watering the area will affect the product after the application is made, it won't affect how the product works. From my experience, once it's applied, additional watering does not affect how well it works. I would wait 24 hours before watering the area after the initial application.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It Really Works We have been fighting moles for years. We've done traps, poison worms, bubble gum, broken glass and any other myth that might have worked. My wife researched the Internet and found Molemax, and we couldn't be more pleased. We were getting a hill a day, or more, and I put this down, watered it into the lawn, and we haven't seen a mole since. We had used it a year or so ago with those results, but we didn't replenish it. The moles came back, and three months from now we're going to replenish it per the instructions. I hate what moles do to a lawn, and this seems to be the real deal. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WORKED FOR ME...TRY CASTOR OIL IN A HOSE END SPRAYER If they are still digging, reapply..this is not for chipmunks or squirrel...but a box trap is.....Havahart.....or a snap trap baited with peanut butter...take this trap in at night, or skunks will drop by. By the way, another cheaper way is buy 4 oz castor oil, dump in a hose end sprayer, put 8 oz dish liquid in, fill with water, spray the lawn....molemax is nothing but castor oil covered with vegetable oil, folks. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not for Chipmunks, they appear to love this stuff! After spending two hours repairing my patio paver blocks that had collapsed due to chipmunk burrows, I put Molemax down in the sand before replacing the pavers and applied another layer of Molemax along the perimeter of the patio. Within an hour after cleaning up the area, I observed a chipmunk, undeterred by the Molemax digging furiously along the edge of the patio in the very spot that I repaired. The only thing that seemed to deter him from returning was a half gallon of ammonia that I poured on the soil in the area. April 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It worked for me and now I'm mole and chipmunk free! I had a problem with moles and chipmunks burrowing tunnels and holes in my yard. I would fill in the holes and they would open back up within an hour. Despite reading some of the negative reviews posted about Molemax, I decided to give it a try. I followed what another reviewer did and spread the Molemax right before it was going to rain. This product must penetrate the ground to really be effective and a light 15 minute watering as suggested by the instructions on the bottle isn't going to do it. After it rained I put more Molemax into each of the holes. After 24 hours I filled in the holes with dirt, reapplied the Molemax to the bare dirt and surrounding area, and saturated the area with water. It's been two weeks and I haven't had any moles or chipmunks in my yard and there aren't any new holes. I did see some evidence a day after the application that something tried to re-dig where an existing hole was but stopped after only penetrating a half inch of soil. I'll apply Molemax in another week when it's going to rain again. I'm very happy with the results of this product. November 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unfortunately, ineffective against squirrels. Unfortunately, I found this to be ineffective against squirrels. Despite applying this repellent at least a dozen times over a week, the squirrels dug the same hole at the same spot every day! I will have to try something else. May 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Porduct did not work for me... money wasted! Bought 2 jars of Molemax for about 5000 square feet but it did not work for me ! I've used other products that repelled the moles for a period though not satisfactory, so I tried this product but it was not effective in any way. I applied the product as instructed but noticed more activity. I waited to see if the hightened activity was due to the moles fleeing away but it did not abate. Just yesterday, I could not continue to see my lawn destroyed, so I had to reapply the alternative (competitor's) brand which I have used in the past. September 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by this product as some different features every year at this time I am trying to get my yard ready to mow, but first thing is first, them there ground moles. mole hills everywhere, so I tried something different this year. Mole Max, telling myself what do I have to lose. well I put this on just before a rain,(help to wash it in), then I did it after the rain,(had a lot of moles here) waited 3days, it was going to rain again,(yes I did) I put more on. two weeks later, few to none hills and just one mole run in the yard, polly to leave this place. one could hope. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product!!!!!!! As usual, I just had my annual mole invasion from one of my neighbors. Last year, I tried MoleMax and the next day the moles came into my yard about 18 inches from the fence and turned around. This year, same thing......brought out the MoleMax and they are gone again. The neighbor that has the mole problem uses a professional exterminator and cannot get rid of them, I use Molemax and they leave. It is very easy to use.......sprinkle the granules in the area of invasion, lightly water the area and they leave. It is safe for pets too, not a poison. June 9, 2010
