purchased this tool for use when that special need arises that you know you could of done it faster with the right tool . this is the right tool got a great deal on it plus its cordless - i cant stand cords nothing worse than fumbling with a cord in your way - so far so good - bosch seem to have their stuff together and especially neat they have Provantage membership which helps replace bad batteries for free within 2 years of purchase and other issues you have like overnight tools that have failed - im usually a dewalt kind of guy but if these tools last it may be a tossup on who has better pricing or what specials are out there when i need a new powertool

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BigBoy All the blades broke within the first week of use.
Three of the blades snapped off while sawing which I thought was dangerous. The screw holding the blades on kept loosening while sawing and I had to keep retightening it. It also gets very hot and overheats. I would not recommend buying it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChasinMendo This is an excellent tool no one remodelling should be without
Great tool especially for cutting in restricted areas. I use it to undercut doorway trim when installing nnew flooring or to cut out material whee it is hard to get to. the tool needs a little bit of getting used to but it speeds through work like a hot knife through butter. I recently redid a kitchen taking out indiviidual broken tiles from a field, under cutting door framing to put in new flooring, cutting out piece of baseboard where a new floor had been laid against it and replacing individual pieces of damaged wood siding if I didn't have this tool I's still be working on that stuff. i wish the battery life were a little bit longer but they charge fast and the tool came with a spare and a charger.

I run a part time handyman business and NEVER leave home without the tool. It seems like I used the tool daily. After 2+ years, the tool quit working. The plastic drive bushing failed. Per Bosch, my only options were to replace the drive for more than the price of a new tool or buy a new tool. Either way,the plastic bushing will fail again after it has been in service for awhile. Bosch has either engineered a limited life span in the tool or they have a design flaw. Either way I am off to buy a new tool - probably not a bosch since I can't trust it to work ..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JLB Builders LLC Look out Fein
I bought this a year ago as a quick grab instead of pulling out my Fien Multi Master. I use this on any job I would use my Fein on, actually the Fein hardly gets any use at all. The Bosch easily keeps ups. Had a Oak Hardwood floor to install and used it to cut the existing oak to weave new boards in and it did a great job. Battery life last longer than expected for a small 12v. 2 batteries lasted most of an 8 hour day on that job, other jobs 1 battery is enough.
When I bought the Bosch I did not expect it to be as strong and keep up with the Fien, I am highly impressed.
Comparing what the Fein Multi Master cost this is a steal. If I had it to do over I would not have gotten the Fein and just bought the Bosch with power cord.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Big J Good while it lasted
I bought this product about two years ago. I loved it right off the bat. It worked well and the fact that it was cordless made it even better. At that time I was in maintenance and I used it mainly for cutting door trim to install new floors. I used this product for about 1 week. It was working one minute and the next it stopped. This was extremely disappointing. At that point I threw the tool in the box and forgot about it until recently. This seems like a good product but for me it turned out to be a disposable tool.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CrazyHorse The product is useful but battery life is very limited.
I appreciate the quality of Bosch tools and that is what led me to this purchase. Home Depot had the best price available and I am a very frequent customer of Home Depot. I enjoy the customer service experience at your store. To my disappointment the battery life of the tool is not satisfactory.
The batteries lose power after 15-20 minutes of use. If you don't have the battery charger close by your will have an inoperative tool. If I had know this before the purchase, I would have gone with the AC powered tool.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gerald Very useful tool but needs some improvements
It's a great tool for small cuts where other tools can not do it. Great for cutting trims, door jambs when installing floors, cut drywall for receptacles and other things like that, also great for detail sanding but it has some bad sides too:
1) Batteries quite often fall out from vibration
2) Very short battery life but charges quickly
3) Not very powerful compared to corded tool
4) Wood blades OK for soft woods but will go dull very quick on hardwoods or plywood.
