Obviously, you can make the 6 inch duct fit into a 4 inch duct (via custom pipe), but will I loose anything in doing so? The existing duct that I have is 4 inches

Prior question relating to this was asked, but that was in regards to 2 switches, on for lighting and one for the FAN? Can this unit be controlled (on/off) with a single light switch?

It can be installed with one switch, but you will lose the separate night light function. Also, you will not be able to operate the fan without the lights being on.

We would like to install the broan and was wondering about the warranty. Our duct is a 4" instead of a 6". Would this effect the warranty.

Answer:
The QTXE150FLT is a 150 CFM unit. It requires the 6" duct in order to move the air out. With a smaller exhaust exit, there would be too much back pressure on the wheel. There would be less performance, and it would most likely hurt the motor. Installing this unit with a 4" duct would void the warranty as that would be considered a faulty installation. Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great upgrade This fan is a great upgrade over the builder grade bath fan. The installation was easy and the fog, mold and rust are a thing of the past. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan! We bought this fan to replace the original bath fan that was installed 18 years ago. The old one still worked, but just wasnt capable of removing the moisture when anyone took a shower. Moisture on the walls, the mirror, everywhere. NOT ANYMORE!! This fan can handle the hottest of showers and its as quiet as a mouse. Sometime have to check to see that its running!! We picked the right fan for the job!! January 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan I purchased this fan for a bathroom in a 100 year old house that had little ventalation in the bathroom. Prior to installing the fan there was a problem with mosture and steam buildup after showering. With the fan installed the moisture and steam problem was solved. Great product, easy installation and works great. For the amount of air being moves the fan is very quite. I would recommend fan and would purchase it again if I should ever need to install another in another bathroom. March 25, 2015
