I purchased a second one, as it performs and looks great!

Manufacturer does not back up product. They give one year warranty, which I agree is industry standard, but if you have so many people having the same issue you would think that they would cover the knob breaking. They still want to charge for the knob and shipping for the knob. Will not stand behind product.

Using the Brondell Ecoseat bidet for four years has been a rollercoaster. I've replaced the knob three times due to the faulty design of the knobs. It cracks within a year or two. Their customer service does not accept the design issue and insist on charging me for the replacement knob every time. Now I have a cemetary of dead knobs! If you're eyeing this bidet, be ready for potential recurring issues. Disappointing experience

The Bidet itself is great. There is a wash mode for the front and back. I have attached it to cold-water only. There is no issue with the water being too cold. The seat is comfortable for the elongated base. The lid is a soft close. My complaint, however, is the control knob for the water - it is plastic. It has split as mentioned in other reviews. The side mount knob applies more stress to the knob post than a top mount. I compared the style on two different bidets. I contacted the company. Unless I can show proof of purchase and proof it is less than one year old, they will do nothing. The replacement is $7 with an additional $8 to $10 in shipping charge. The amount of shipping costs for a plastic knob is not at all reasonable, nor is the price of the knob. I am looking elsewhere for a knob to prevent their additional profit at my expense. I will say their customer service needs improvement and/or improve the construction of the knob. The knob should be well made based upon the expectations of usage. Too many of us are having the same issue, this must be addressed by Brondell.

2 months after the 12 month warranty expired, the plastic control knob broke in the full on position. Awkward. Otherwise great. Bought another. Support non existent.

I purchased this version since I wanted to try bidets for the first time without a big cash layout. The seat looks like a normal seat without all the bells and whistles, not obvious. The wash control broke after 15 months. I'm hoping the manufacturer can send a replacement - I will update the review if I get a response. I guess nothing lasts forever, but I think the design of the control may be poor. While the control itself was metal, it was held on by a plastic housing.

Easy-peasy installation. Just need a scissor (to cut teflon tape) and a small crescent wrench to gently snug the supply line fittings (seat bolts, toilet tank and water supply tighten with our fingers). Fits like a glove. I stood in front of the toilet and tested function and got hit with a crotch level shot of water. After wiping up the water on the floor I sat down and tried it. Works great. In other words, take the leap of faith and test use as it will be used.

The valve controls pressure getting really tight and doesn't turn!!!

Contacted Brondell, waiting on replacement knob, don’t know if they have a replacement knob for seat. Less than a year old. VERY POOR MATERIALS FOR KNOB BREAKS (splits)

I purchased this because it was the only soft close seat in the store. It was the beginning of the pandemic and the TP was being horded. Anyway this was beyond all expectations. Easy to install the cold water was never too cold... and I don't worry about leaving the house without a clean bum. I can get hit by a car and only worry about skidmarks in the road and not on my undies.
