Q:How much skinnier is this compared to a normal GFIC.
The existing hole/box in the wall will really only fit a non-GFIC outlet / regular, and GFI outlet I bought will not go in Far Enough , it's a mobile home

Got this for the garage and wanted one with colored buttons and indicator light. The colors make pressing the correct button easier, and the indicator light lets you know if the unit is active or in a fail mode. Installation was easy with the ability to protect outlets down stream.

I love the gfi outlets. It just makes sense to use them for the benefit of adding a bit more safety when using or working around electrical outlets.
This purchase was to add an outlet over my work bench in my garage by branching off an out in the kitchen sharing the same wall.

Great GFCI Outlet
This Leviton GFCI outlet works nicely. I like how it has a light on the front of it to tell you the status of the GFCI. It is easy to test and reset.

Just what the Dr. ordered for a failed GFCI. My original with the house, 17 year old bathroom GFCI failed (tripped and would only reset for a second before tripping again; I disconnected the downstream circuit, same result). The new Leviton works great and has the advantage of a green LED that the 17 year old didn't have, it shows when the outlet is live and protecting correctly.

These GFCI plugs are pretty good. I have had several not work out of the box but Home Depot ia really good about exchanging them. The ones that work last and do a good job. They are getting more and more expensive as everything else in life does. I will be buying more of these.
