Yes I use it on an ACE Hardware 5 gal. bucket and a Walmart 5 gal. bucket. I also use it on a 4 gal tile adhesives bucket that is the same diameter as a 5 gal bucket.

Any bucket with the 5 gallon set of ridges on top and is the same diameter as a 5 gal. will do. I actually use a 4 gallon bucket.

This unit fits perfectly on the Home Depot 'Homer' 5-gallon bucket, found almost everywhere in the store & which usually runs for about $3.00. It locks on to the bucket & you can carry the entire thing by the bucket's handle.

Yes- any orange 5 gallon plastic Home Depot bucket is suitable. You place the vacuum on top-and clamp the vacuum head onto the bucket. It is quite secure-they don't fall off

It is louDer than my home vacuum, and I'm not talking about a Dyson quiet one. I would say it's as loud or slightly louder than standard, cheap, shop vacs. It woke and scared my wife while she was asleep.

If you are asking "will this suck up salt water" the answer is yes. This is a standard wet-dry vac that simply has no canister. If you are also asking about salt waters corrosive effects then the answer is you get what you pay for. It is a very basic shop vac that needs cleaning after nasty use. If my memory serves me correctly you remove the filter for wet applications. If I were to use it as a wet vac Read More
If you are asking "will this suck up salt water" the answer is yes. This is a standard wet-dry vac that simply has no canister. If you are also asking about salt waters corrosive effects then the answer is you get what you pay for. It is a very basic shop vac that needs cleaning after nasty use. If my memory serves me correctly you remove the filter for wet applications. If I were to use it as a wet vac with salt water I would remove the filter then suck up the salt water. After the episode suck up fresh water to dilute the salt and let it dry. Put a new filter on before using it again. Remember it has no tools and a short hose. Read Less

I think you can. I used mine to suck up a limited amount of water from a rv pipe repair and it was fine. However as a saltwater boater I will remind you that salt water is super corrosive. I would rinse everything with fresh water after using it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clever Product! This is a really clever idea. I've been using it while I'm cutting wood and drilling metal. It's done a fine job. They are eventually targeted for a couple of "somewhat portable" saw/router tables that I'm going to build that will have dedicated saws and routers . While it's performed well and is a really good idea, I'm a little leery of it's sucking power and I would like it to have a more flexible hose. But I was confident enough of it to purchase a second one! April 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good little Vac This small wet/dry vac is nice, it works as well as any I have used. It is small and can get into small areas. It is perfect for small clean-up projects. The small hose does limit what can be picked up with it. But overall, it has worked very well for our needs. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Closed drain I purchased this to help me with a clogged bathroom sink I was able to draw the water out of the sink and also unclog the drain easy. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handy little vacuum As ubiquitous as five gallon buckets are this is a great idea - wish I'd thought of it! In fact, we liked the first one so much we bought a second. These are handy little vacuums to either carry with you on a service truck or tuck away in a storage closet or corner of a workshop. August 16, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rest in Peace This vac died after about 3 months of moderate use. I even cleaned out the filter with a compressor after the first 2 months of use. (I do this periodically with my house vac and it's been running like new for 8 years.) Suction was decent for such a small vacuum. Unit was top heavy and tipped over easily. This happened often because the hose was too short. I would recommend spending more money for something more reliable. July 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great idea Effective, efficient, and economical. Most bang in a wet/dry vacuum for the limited buck. Only had it for one project. So far so good. If it is still good in a few years then I will be happy. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow For the money it is great. Compact, efficient, and a comversation starter. I would buy another one. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 gal wet/dry canister vacuum this was a very good deal considering its price of less than $50. I own a dyson but use this to clean up when I have a big mess after a repair project. June 14, 2016
