5 gal. 1.75-Peak HP Wet Dry Vac is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 345.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great water vac for emergency clean up's Used a customer's HD vacuum while cleaning up a water system leak. Impressive little unit as it picked the water up quickly,so I bought 4 for the other service guy's. Yet to see what this does with DRY MATERIAL, but does a great job on water.

I use it mostly connected to power tools such as sanders and routers. It sounds like a typical shop vac and will struggle with heavy (nails, etc.) and larger objects. With that in mind, it does a great job connected to my sanders precisely because it is small. My larger vac will try to suck the sander to the workpiece making it hard to control, while this one works perfectly. For stability, it works to put some weight in the bottom of another bucket and then slip the one the vac is attached to on top of it.

A lot of bang for the buck here, we were going through $200 shop vacs at a pretty good clip, I went to just keeping a stock of these and our yearly cost on shop vacs went down spectacularly.. They last a reasonable amount of time, have a reasonable amount of power, and are dirt-cheap...

I've used the wet side to suck water out of the vent on the side of my chimney(for what purpose it serves, I have no idea) after a really bad thunderstorm. The Bucket Head snapped firmly onto the top of one my Home Depot buckets. The hose that comes with it is way too short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vac for the price! Ive had this bucket head for a couple of years now and i think its great. I use it for quick clean up jobs and it performs well. I get the best use out of it vacuuming my vehicles. The hose has a perfect shape for getting in tight areas.

I would put it in the toy section. the power cord barely touches the ground so you have to an extension cord, no handle to carry the vacuum making it very difficult to manage, easily tips over because it's top heavy. I used it for about 10 minutes before I slung it across the lawn in frustration.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rest in Peace This vac died after about 3 months of moderate use. I even cleaned out the filter with a compressor after the first 2 months of use. (I do this periodically with my house vac and it's been running like new for 8 years.) Suction was decent for such a small vacuum. Unit was top heavy and tipped over easily. This happened often because the hose was too short. I would recommend spending more money for something more reliable.

The best features are that it's cheap, and the hose fit a miter saw perfectly so it was great for catching sawdust. I tried to use it yesterday, and it wouldn't start. It had not even been plugged in for a few months. This hasn't been abused, and was stationary on a box most of the time. There may be an internal reset or fuse, but it's not accessible, and the way this is built, it's impossible to take apart without destroying it.
