Delivered to our door, it was just what we wanted, with no unexpected surprises. We especially liked that the glass was covered in plastic, making the painting easy.

This door was very nicely constructed. Good quality material and worked out great for our project!

i had to order this door because it was not stocked. it arrived slightly damaged (dents and a split on one of the seams which put the door slightly out of alignment) - but i took it anyway because i was not going to wait for another door. the good news was that the windows were covered with plastic so painting was easier.
after doing all the remedial work, the plastic was removed. then i got the joy of seeing one scratched pane AND one obviously replaced pane (as it had a different coating and a different manufacturers mark on the glass).
i would not have bought this if i had to do it over again.

fit was perfect, sanding before priming/painting is recommended.

I bought this as a single door to an office. Be aware you have to drill your own holes for hardware. Also there is plastic on the windows that is hard to see and peel off, but it's nice to have it there for painting.

Because we have white molding and trim, I had to paint this door white, but the wood was such wonderful quality that it would have looked great with a light stain. The easiest part of installation was painting it. The door had plastic wrap on both sides of the tempered glass and was so easy to remove with a razor blade, after painting. The hardest part was the mortising for the hardware, which my husband handled like a pro. The new french door leads to the cellar and adds dimension to our long narrow dining room. We put in wine racks between the stubs in the stairwell, exposing the old brick and it is perfection! Oh, I need to add that the door was made in the USA!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superjim7 Nice french doors and a good value
Nice french doors and a good value. Did not have to sand or do any other prep. Plastic on windows enable me to use a sprayer to prime and paint--no paint got on the glass
