I'm thinking of placing one of these Cobras in front of an outdoor pedestal fan to deliver a directed mist. Is the mist consistency good for this use or would I end up just soaking myself?

Answer:
DunwoodyRob, that is an interesting question. However, we do not recommend spraying water of any kind (including mist) into electrical equipment.

Answer:
shut it OFF, when stop, remove gently the nozzles, rinse in warm water with a dash of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of baking soda, soak for few minutes, then gently rub with a soft toothbrush
Meanwhile, run the hose water thru the open holes on cobra, to rid off debris.
Attach them to the cobra hose, and you are ready to use them back
If loose one of the nozzles, Home Depot sell spare parts.

Cobra Mistand is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super helpful in hot weather for pets! I bought this to place into the 24' x 24' open pen that houses my six hens; this keeps a large portion of the pen misted and helps tremendously during the hot summer weather to keep an area cool and also keep the ground around it cool so they can scratch and dig to their hearts' content. A great addition!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase...just wish they still sold them in Canada!! Great product...fantastic for those hot days on the deck. My dog loves to lie under it to stay cool as well. Had to order it via the US and a US address though. They sold in Canada until this season and I wish they would get them back! A lot of work to purchase a 13$ (great value for money) item is all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I thought! I had a neighbor that was using these to water her garden, the mist would blow onto you and really cool you off in these hot humid conditions this summer. I went to the local HD and bought one for the price they list here on their website. It is important to note that you need to follow the directions and flush the system after each use. Unscrew the brass caps and and kick the water on very low pressure to clear the line. If you maintain these, they will last a long time. Another important note is that these require very little water pressure, so please don't turn on the water full blast and expect results. You will instead witness the product trying to lift off the ground like space shuttle Atlantis. Instead just barely crack the water line open and allow the mist to begin. You can turn them off long in advance until the pressure dies off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart purchase I have several of this, recently I got 3 more, even I left one for the outside dogs, they pass by constantly to get fresh, without getting wet It works great, cool down the temperature, that here could reach up to 110 degrees in summer,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better to look for in stores! Although the price was excellent and free shipping to the store, I think it is better to buy one in a store already. I ordered two. First I must say, shipping was great! Home Depot even texts you when your order is ready. But then when I got the items and took them home I noticed one was bent very funny and would not stay upright. So I used a heat gun to straighten that one out. Didn't take long to heat it up and stay far away from the item if trying to do this yourself, else you may burn a hole in it if you never used a heat gun before. Also you CANNOT pick what color you want by ordering it. My G/F wanted purple. We got Blue and Green. Oh well, they work and the dog has fun with them!!!
