I have had one similar for several years with no problems. This is very similar except does not have a retainer on the top to hold a saw. Only drawback is like most non metal boxes it has a hole in the tray under the tray handle and tools will sometimes fall through to the bottom area. I would prefer the tray handle be full length like the old Craftsman boxes. These boxes will handle weight very well as I carry multiple hammers, pry bars etc in the bottom. It also does not have indents on the ends for handles so the storage is efficient for the space used.

Owned three of these for over 12 years and only wish I'd known how much I'd want more as I aged. Should have purchased 10 when they were less expensive. Tough, durable, weather resistant, roomy, nice looking on job-site ( don't scratch or dent and help you present as professional and ordered).

I haven't had them for long, but so far so good. The material is tough, the handles are tough and the hinges are tough. I expect these will last a good long time of daily use. The boxes hold up to rain as well. So far nothing inside has gotten wet.

Rivets holding one of latches missed holes. Using it in lightweight application so didn't waste time returning it

I am a mason and need a heavy duty toolbox. I have been wanting one of these for awhile and finally decided to buy one. There seems to be plenty of room in the box overall but it is quite narrow compared to my other style of box I was used to. It seems hard to fit certain tools in properly. My other complaint is with the closing of the lid, you cant just drop the lid and have it close tightly because right where both of the hasps are attached on the lower part of the box, the plastic is sort of warped, like when they attached the hasps it deformed the plastic a bit. You have to either slam the box shut or push in on the bottom of the box to get the lid to close all the way to lock the hasps. Not a big deal but I expected higher quality.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 4xsteve Durable and long-lasting.
-Sturdy and strong materials.
-Basic, yet nicely functional.
-Great value for the money.
-Very tolerant of the elements and outdoor use; nearly impervious to sun and rain.
-Lid hinges aren't designed to allow the lid to flip completely over so they can break or "stretch" if the lid is pushed too far over on a regular basis.
-Interior top tray is open under its handle which allows smaller items to fall underneath if the box gets shaken around a lot.
-The part of the toolbox lid where the carry handle attaches feels somewhat weak when carrying the box heavily loaded.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Skaning This one replaces one I bought 15 years ago
I bought one of theses about 15 years ago. It was used to house all of my "light" electrical stuff that I use for low voltage and automotive work. Wire strippers soldering iron, solder, crimp fittings, hook up wire, third hand, It really served me well but finally the cover hinge gave way. I had no problem ordering a new one. This one is a little longer than any others that I've seen and it serves well as jobsite box.
