120W Equivalent Bright White (3000K) PAR38 Dimmable LED 45 Degree Flood Light Bulb is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 18.

Pricey if they are not on sale but highly recommended and worth the extra cost if you are looking for an LED flood light for use in an outdoor fixture with a motion detector (particularly if you are having trouble with LED bulbs in the fixture). Bought another brand of LED PAR38 flood light (also dimmable) and they blinked on and off when power was applied. Saw some testimonials on Cree's site saying their bulbs worked in motion sensor lights and this proved to be absolutely true, as I had no issues with these Cree bulbs in my outdoor fixture w/motion sensor.

I have been gradually replacing older standard and high efficiency (read pricey and dangerous) bulbs with LED as they failed. After one year of this process I find the seven year guarantee does not actually suggest they are of high manufacturing quality. Just this week, I had a six month old 60w Cree bulb fail. I am hopeful that it is an exception. My replacement lamp was this 120 watt equivalent flood. My low rating is in part due to my expectation it will not last even two years. The other part is its less than expected brightness at a distance. (12 feet) I am an ardent energy saver and will persist for another year, and see how they do.

Purchased 4 of these flood lights for the recessed cans in our living room 2 weeks ago (November 2016). The ceiling is 20' so installing an LED retrofit assembly would have required renting scaffolding. Didn't leave us many choices for upgrading to LED. We tried out several different brands and also the CREE 25 degree spot light, but this one (45 degree flood) is our favorite. It looks like a normal PAR38 incandescent bulb when it is on and off. Light coverage is adequate and even. Works well with the existing dimmer switch. The bulb size allows it to sit "recessed" in the opening, which cuts down on the glare when you look up. Light color is perfect for a living room. Hope they last a long time.

Super bright, perfect color, and the 45 degree flood angle lit up the entire back yard. Best of all, four bulbs use less power than one of the incandescent bulbs I was using. These bulbs are more expensive than others, but they are well worth the extra expense. I have Cree bulbs throughout my home, they are simply the best!

We used 4 of these to replace 4 250 watt incandescent. fairly good spread at 7 feet above floor, not as even as old incandescents. Makes a spot on table top work surface with noticeable shadow.

Although the product was very expensive, I like the brightness and the white light that is projected. The 120 W equivalent is hard to find with all of the new bulbs now on sale and i was relieved to find it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior brightness and perfect outdoor color temperature. I put one of these into recessed cans on both my front and backdoor, it's a tremendous amount of light but no distracting nor dazzling. Initial impression is they're worth the price. The 25° and 40° degree bulbs have almost identical packaging so make sure you're grabbing the correct bulb.

The color (3000K) is terrific. The only problem I found is that the lamp had a noticeable "buzz" sound when using a Lutron (LED rated) dimmer. I'm sure Cree could identify what dimmer will work without causing the lamp to "buzz".
