Polyblend Grout Renew Colorant may be used with natural stone. We recommend pre-sealing the stone with the TileLab SurfaceGard Penetrating Sealer to protect from staining. For further assistance please contact our Care and Maintenance division at 800.272.8786 option 3

I just cleaned it very good with hot Vinegar water and let it dry well before applying the color with a child's tooth brush. Try not to gob it on. Just brush it in, wipe the overage on the sides with a thin damp towel, and do a second coat only if necessary. Because over time (maybe a couple years) you will need to touch up, and if you're really picky like me, maybe even go over it again lightly. Keep in mind, that all grout needs maintenance, colored or natural. Read Less

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay colorant. We used this to darken our grout after it was installed because the grout was not the color it was supposed to be. It does an okay job. Installation is a pain but take your time and you will be okay. Not sure how well it will hold up because you are basically painting your grout. April 26, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great! Really fixed up my ugly stained grout. It looks like new. A little messy to use but well worth the effort. June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use, amazing results. I have hated the grout in my home since moving in. I decided to try the grout renew and what a complete transformation. The application was easy and the transformation was incredible. It looks like a new floor, even the tile looks new. I highly recommend it and I am sure I will use it again. February 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mapei Grout Refresh is superior product This product does work but the labor involved was far more rigorous than the Mapei Grout Refresh product. I bought the Mapei at Lowes first but the color was too light and Lowes didn't have anything darker. So I bought the Polyblend grout renew from Home depot since they had the color I wanted (Sandstone) in stock. In hindsight, I wish I waited the week to order a similar color in the Mapei product. The Mapei product is so simple to use. You just use a tooth brush and rub the cream into the grout lines, wait 30 to 60 minutes and then mist the floor with a water spray bottle and wipe off the excess grout paint from the tile simply and efficiently while the grout lines remain the painted color. The Polyblend product states right in the directions not to let the cream dry on the tile, so I was a little stressed about getting excess cream on the tile while I was applying it to the grout. Because you can't let it dry, I was cleaning as I was going and it seemed like I was constantly wiping off the cream I had just applied. Inevitably I ended up getting excess on the tile and it took me three thorough scrubbings to get it all off the tile. So frustrating. I'll never use this product again. I'm actually going back to the Mapei product of a similar color and doing another round of application so I don't have to do the second coat with this frustrating product. November 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality...color doesn't match The color does not nearly match what it is described. Every product I purchased did not match the packaging. This should be a deeper gray and looks almost white. I am very unhappy and will be complaining to home Depot and manufacturer. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect match I had my bathroom renovated and installed floor tile that looked like wood. After the contractor finished the grout, it looked good until it dried much lighter than I had anticipated. This grout sealant/colorant was a perfect match to my tiles and now I am 100% happy with my new bathroom! August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE THIS STUFF!! I absolutely LOVE this stuff. My tile is OLD...20 years old. The original grout color was platinum grey, but is now almost black. I've gone on hands and knees to scrub the grout only to have the dirty, black color reappear within a week or two. I want to replace my tile, however I'm not looking forward to moving furniture from each room, or the mess, or the cost! Yes this project was time consuming, but well worth the time and effort. I used an old tooth brush to apply in small sections then waited 20 minutes to allow it to dry. I then used a damp rag and my finger nail to wipe away any excess. This new look will buy me some time and allow me to concentrate on other projects. I'm sooooo happy with the results! June 16, 2016
