Answer:
My best results have been to apply to dry grass during a dry spell. I watch the forecast to make sure there aren't any large rain storms in the weeks ahead. A large rain after application just dilutes the formula or washes it away. My last application lasted 3 months, but it was fairly dry weather.

I don't think it says on the label, but I know that some similar products by other manufacturers actually work better if the grass is wet first.

Answer:
To control surface insects as listed on the label, you should wet down the grass a few hours before applying. If you're using for sub-surface insect control (mole crickets, grubs, etc.), you can apply to a dry lawn but will need to water in afterwards.

You could use this after a rain as long as it will remain on the grass and not be washed off.

I actually sprayed just hoping it would work for one weekend, however, it has been 2 months and we have been able to enjoy our backyard the entire time.

It seems to eliminate mosquitos well for about a month, but it partly depends upon how large an area you covered when you sprayed. The smaller the area, the more likely you are to get mosquitos flying in from outside the treated area.

This product would need to be re-applied every week to control mosquitoes. Do yourself a favor and buy Spectracide or Enforcer brand and try to apply when no rain (or only light rain) is in the forecast for the next 5-7 days...those brands work and can last most of the season with 1 application.

It's a matter of personal preference; if your grass is extremely long, I'd recommend mowing prior to the application. I always mow beforehand.

It generally doesn't matter, but you should wait to mow again until at least 24 hours after applying (so you might want to do it before).

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 300 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Effective, Good Coverage, & Easy tp Use I've used Cutter products in the past, primarily for personal insect repellent and they worked great. I also tried a number of different yard bug control products making claims on duration - all were effective, but generally came up short on the time claimed As my backyard needed to be retreated to get thru the rest of flea/tick season I am trying Cutter - it took care of the backyard fleas/ticks immediately and they have not come back after 1 month - only 2 to go until the season's over. I got 5,000 square feet of coverage out of the quart, as advertised. Finally, it took only 20 minutes to treat the backyard. I would recommend this product. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I've used this product in deep south Texas (on the US/Mexico border). We are subtropical here and the mosquitos can be relentless. This product works every time. Sometimes it is necessary to reapply every month due to the thickness of mosquitos here and the weather which never really gets below freezing. I very much recommend this product. October 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not waste your money I don't like to review products, but this one I have to share my experience, If it's possible to give zero stars I would definitely give it, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. October 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by As much as you want it to it doesn't work My yard is less than the surface area this is supposed to treat. I used the whole bottle to cover it and 2 weeks later treated again with another full bottle. The fact that my wife can come out and get bitten 20 times in 5 minutes proves that this product just doesn't work. It would have been great if it did though.... October 11, 2016
