Would it patch some chipped paint of wall?

I'm not using it for wholes, I used sticky double sided mounting tape, and when I tried to pull it off, it came off with the paint? Will I stick this on, put on the shakle than paint it?

Answer:
If there's not an actual hole in the wall, I would probably just use a light-weight spackling compound, then 100-grit sandpaper to smooth out the wall before repainting.

It sounds like all you need to do is sand and then paint, no spackle needed.

Answer:
Spackling products, as well as repair tapes and patches are not considered mold/mildew or water resistant. They must be primed/painted for proper performance.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Repairs smoothly and cleanly Easy to attach to the wall and cover with compound - make sure you layer and feather the compound to blend into the wall - then it looks great! January 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Product worked great. All tools were supplied in the kit but I wish they supplied a few extra adhesive patches, only one is included. Checkout was quick and easy at Home Depot pick-up. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So you put a doorknob through a wall? This patch kit is the perfect one-off for put a doorknob through a wall (I guess it would work for fists...) Make sure you cut the patch tot he right size and that the edges either bend in towards the wall or are flush (if they bend out you'll need to use a lot of spackle). It works perfectly as advertised and comes with way more spackle than you'll need for the single patch. Oh, and if it was a doorknob, Home Depot also sells some great clear Cushion Door Stops to prevent it from happening again. January 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Move-out time saver Efficient kit for moving out of our home and repairing last minute dings. There was enough product provided to patch nail holes in our new home. July 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Product ok for DIY'er The spackel was fine. Nice that it is pink to show you where it is and it does dry white. The putty knife is cheap and not worth the plastic it is made of. Better off buying a good putty knife. Over all it is ok for a DIY'er . Better than paying a contractor $500 to fix a whole in the wall. February 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works very well and is easy to apply I love that this is pink and dries to white. I love that it is a small quantity but lasts forever and is always available to use as I need it and don't have to go buying some everytime a hole needs to be patched. January 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I brought this product in 2005 for a hole I had in my wall and it worked great. I moved out of my apartment in 2007 and use this product for the holes I nailed in the wall for my pictures. This product have not let me down yet it has everything inside of the kit so you dont have to buy anything on the side. Im really please with this product. April 27, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by picked the right product the first try I could not be happier with the results, it was a fast permanent fix to the removal of a toilet paper holder that was recessed into the wall. This patch kit did the job like a professional. September 24, 2013
