Yes. It works well on interior and exterior and hides a multitude of sins. Paint-able time depends on many things. Weather, altitude, etc. You can paint when it it dry and firm to the touch.

I had some dried Alex plus caulk that I had wiped away from sealing just today.
Just tried Minwax stain which is what I just stained my countertop with. The short answer, no, it does not do well. It stained ever so slightly, but it made it look dirty.

Yes, but use a solid body latex stain for best results. I recently repainted one of my rentals and used Thompsons Water Seal solid body stain, after prepping then using this caulk in all the trim joints, on top of horizontal trim, nail holes, around the windows, doors, fascia boards, soffits, etc. It works well.

Typically, you'd paint the caulk after it has completely dried.
Depending on humidity, temperature, and other factors, this can vary.
But typically, you should be able to paint over it within 2-4 hours after application.
