Good for everything. Portable so you can move it around as I do, but certainly set it up on a workbench and go for it. It has a good weight so I have not had an issue with it moving around at all.

It is a great saw anywhere. If you are a DIYer and only want/need one saw, this is it! Now, if you are building cabinets for a living you will want something bigger.

Hi Coorsman, this saw is good to use any where. Its compact size is perfect for the shop that has limited room and on job sites where you don't always have a bench or table.
This saw can be stored out of the way in your shop and won't take up a ton of room. Enjoy.

I'd recommend following manual instructions and NOT using dado blades.

Answer:
The reason you can't use a dado blade with this saw is due to the short arbor. There simple isn't enough shaft/threads to safely mount a dado of any significant width. However, there is enough to mount a 1/4" dado so if this is enough for your needs, this saw will work beautifully.

Answer:
No. The manufacturer is very specific in their documentation about this. From the manual:
"Note: This saw is not intended for use with dado blades and molding cutters. Personal injury may occur."
When you see how short the arbor is, you will understand why this is the case.
The dado throat plate offered by Dewalt is for the discontinued 744 model.

Answer:
Yes, you can if you have a roller stand on the infeed side to support the 2x4. The roller stand needs to allow forward and side motion as you feed the 2x4 into the saw.. A safer option would be a miter saw that allows the wood to be stationary and you control the saw. See attached photo for an example.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best job site table saw I've used This saw will impress just about anyone. The fence is different but easy to use and in my opinion, the best on the market. Large cutting capacity handles just about anything on a job site. Very powerful motor cuts through anything. Sturdy light weight construction makes it easy to transport and set up. There is a cord wrap, a holster for push stick, and different options for stands. I've never been a DeWalt fan, and this is the only DeWalt product I own but I loooove using this saw. July 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Table Saw I am very happy with this saw. The setup directions weren't very clearly written, but once I got it assembled, it was very easy to use. The saw provides precise measurements and clean cuts. I made the artist's pencil box shown in the photos. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool to add to any arsenal. Although this is not powerhouse for cabinet making, this saw is quite accurate right out of the box. Cutting select 1x2 1x3 1x4 1x6 pine for "Craftsman style" window and door trim and it's working well. I did build a staunch table as that makes everything go better. August 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by my dewalt table saw my saw was almost ready to use, I just had to put some parts together. it works great, I've done few projects at home that couldn't have done with out it. perfect rip cuts August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great compact table saw. Great sized and well thought out saw. The best feature is that it is light and easy to move/use but is also rugged and should hold up well over time. Highly recommended, must-have tool! July 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gift for son in law I bought this for my son in law for fathers day. He is picky about tools, he loved it. Hasalready taken it to his brothers new house to cut shelves. Was very pleased July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dewalt table saw i bought this saw to replace a old 10" craftsman table saw i won't buy another big item from sears i believe there quality has gone down hill when Kmart bought them and don't think they will be in buisness much longer i like the way this saw can be set up and used very easy and i think it will be in my tool colection until i'm gone and then it will belong to one of my son's the only thing i don't like about this saw is that i can't use my dado blade but i have a router and table setup so i will use it to make any of my dado cut's that i would have to make June 26, 2016
