I would like to find a tool box to transport cleaning supplies from job to job and it's amazing how most tool boxes don't have a flat bottom to maximize storage

Answer:
It's not perfectly flat, but most of the bottom might be usable anyway depending on your needs. Each corner has a protrusion giving the chest four feet to sit on. They're only about a 1/2" down. Then there are some ridges near the middle that I assume help with rigidity. These are also about 1/2" or maybe less. At the wheel end, it slopes up at 45 degrees to the axle, so that end is definitely not flat. Read More

It's about 10.5" wide at the bottom. The entire inside length is about 19.5" but all four walls slope out slightly, so it's about 20.5" x 11.5" at the top. It's about 13.5" deep inside from the main floor level, and the lid adds another 1.5" of interior depth. Read Less

Answer:
Yes - there's a hole to the left of the main latch. You can see it in the product images. However, it's just plastic, so a padlock would only prevent someone looking out of curiosity. Also, these things aren't that heavy, so the whole thing is likely to roll away if someone wants it.

...Also, Home Depot sells an HDX 2-Sided Organizer (plastic small parts case) that fits very nicely in this chest. I have two of the in mine - vertically on their side, with still enough room for the tray that came with this chest.

It's about 19.5" x 10.5" at the bottom, and 20.5" x 11.5" at the top. The axle takes up some interior space, with a 45 degree slope leading up to it. The main section of the floor before the slope is about 14.75" x 10.5" (see photo). The interior depth is about 13.5" with another 1.5" of height within the lid.
These are all approximate measurements because there are a number of protrusions and ridges Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Love it so far. The ones that I found at the store were all in bad condition so I decided to order online, which was a great choice. The item came flawless and the delivery was also super fast. Took only half the time of what was originally estimated. July 12, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool chest! I bought my 1st chest a year ago to carry around my audio eq. It is well bult and easy to transport. It worked so well I bought another to hold tools and gear relater to my RV. Good buy reasonably priced. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything fits!!!!!! I bought this Dewalt contractor chest around the same time I bought the Dwalt 36 volts construction combo power tools and it was a match made in heaven. All tools fitted with all accessories and just as rugged , so I'm a happy camper. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for some types of contractors I'm a commercial AV contractor. I bought three of these to keep the back of my truck organized (along with a couple of the 28" rolling toolbox), and I'm pleased with all of them. They're a good size - not too heavy to lift in and out. Now we can bring in whichever type of tools/supplies the job requires and save trips to the truck. One guy can easily wheel two of these through a parking lot. To prolong their life, I wouldn't use the wheels off-road, or would at least go easy on them in the grass or dirt. The wheels only touch the ground once you've lifted the handle end, at which point there's an inch or two of clearance. These might not last long in really rough environments, but for finish carpenters or similar trades, their pretty good. HDepot sells a plastic small parts bin that fits perfectly (HDX 2-sided organizer). I use two of them on the side not taken up by the tool tray. The tool trays are useful but they also restrict what can be stored under them. I may end up not using them depending on what type of tools I'm storing in each bin. There's no weather seal on these, but the lid overlaps to keep out rain. Given how easily these can be carried, I wouldn't store them in the back of my truck without a locked cover over them anyway. The latch design is great. I'll probably end up getting a couple more of these eventually. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 15 gallon rolling toolbox with removable inner tray 15 gallon rolling toolbox, approx. 25 inches long, 15.5 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep with 88 pound loaded capacity. Handle is retractable, and when extended, the enclosed tray can be mounted on it for access to tools with the box closed. When the box is closed it can serve as a work surface suitable for cutting and other uses. Watertight when top is closed and latched. Offers a decent amount of space, rolls easily across a lawn. A very attractive and functional unit, light weight also. November 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chest Very useful & compact can fit a lot of my work tools in it February 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but... This is a nice chest, but when it arrived, I noticed a few things. The handle does not lock in place. It's smaller than I was expecting. And the weight limit is 90 lbs, so no sitting on top for lunch breaks. I ordered this pretty quickly, so all of this may have been in the description and I missed it. :-( It is a good looking chest, and will work for hauling tools around. January 5, 2016
