Answer:
Impact is the same for both, only the drill different. It's slightly larger, not as powerful(just barely), and takes an hour to charge vs 30 minutes with the 280c2. This is at least from what I gathered.

Why dose the specifications state the battery is a 20 volt when it is indeed 18 working volts. 20V MAX is a name only.

Its power, weight, functionality and the best (smalls). I am installer of kitchens and baths, previously used drills lower voltage, precisely because of the weight but after a few weeks I'm totally convinced. These drills are perfect if you use every day like me or only on occasion becuse they are quite cheap. without doubt a great buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Dewalt at a phenomenal price. I've used both the impact driver & drill non-stop for the last month with no issues. They work flawlessly. I can't figure out the difference between these & the $300+ models but am extremely happy with both!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Tool sets Years ago my husband bought one of these for me and I decided when my kids got of age - off and on their own, that every woman needs one - So I bought 3 sets and the large 100 piece bit sets with the separate cases to go with them. I got them on sale on the Father's day Special and the store had the bit sets. They were originally for Christmas presents, but My one daughter moved and I figured moving into a new place - well she would need it, and of course she has. My youngest daughter went off to college and had to assemble some furniture. hang things on walls, etc, so she also got her kit. SO Christmas came early for two of them. One set is still here waiting on my other daughter to finish school and move away, but she has used hers too ( to make sure they worked :) ) So all in all - a BIG WIN - love these kits !!

I bought the Dewalt pair as I had a couple of different Ryobi tools but no charger for the new LiIon batteries. I figured I would step up and solve the problem by buying all new set with Dewalt. I had to do a job using the driver and found that when the DeWalt driver would not push the screw any further, the Ryobi driver drove it all the way home. I was disappointed at that as I figured the 20V tool would be more powerful then the 18V Ryobi. Did not appear so.
