Although a thicker tube wall maybe better for some reasons, such as durability and insulation, a brass compression adapter was harder to fit on the end of the thicker tube. The thicker wall was observed to reduce the space clearance between the insert and sleeve parts of the adapter. Attached photo shows the thicker tube from Dig in the distance and a different tube with thinner wall up close.
One possible way to fit a compression adapter easier might be adding a short section of thinner tube to the end of the Dig tube, using the double barbed drip irrigation couplings.

If you want to save a little money, and have the time to do the job twice, this is the product for you. It's CHEAP and it's Cheap. You will have to order twice as many drippers as you need, because you will need to replace the ones that don't work. You will also need to order twice as many 1/4 in. Elbows, and T's as you need because they break. The 1/4 in. Feeder line is ridged and hard to work with, but if you have lots of time it will work. The 1/4 in. Barbed fittings, to attach to the 1/2 in. Main line leak, and are hard to work with. In my opinion after fighting with DIG drip irrigation products all summer, I wish I had paid a little more up front, and started with a better product, and only had to do it once.

Having enough tubing was paramount in creating my drip irrigation system. For the cost this is a great value and the length allowed me to be very creative in my design.

This product is a great way to extend your drippers from the main 1/2 inch line to each plant. Easy to cut with a knife. It curls because of the way it is stored, but it isn't so hard to hold it down.
