Looking at the Daltile rittenhouse 3x6 modular wall subway tile there does not appear to be spacing lugs built into the tile but actually an edge that runs the entire length of the tile is this adequate for automatically spacing the tile with out the use of spacers or is spacers required. The Daltile web site says all their tile is built with spacing lugs.

I'd estimate the visible width about 1/32", so there is barely any grout line. If you use 1/16" spacers, the width would be greater (1/16" + 1/32" = 3/32") due to the bevel preventing the tiles from touching the spacers at the face where the grout gap is visible. I went with another brand because neither scenario with Daltile seems good. Read Less

Answer:
Yes, it has small spacing "bumps" on each side to provide a nice, uniformly thin grout line.
Just butt the tiles up against each other for a good fit.

Answer:
The "HD" in the description denotes that the Rittenhouse tile is sold at Home Depot. The other item number is a product code used at a Dal Tile contractor store. Both are identical and made in the same plant, however, the boxes are brown from Dal and white from Home Depot.

Answer:
There is a slight difference between the products. For example, the thickness and break strength are different. The finishes are also slightly different. One of the tiles has a glazed smooth finish with a low sheen and a slight variation in tone. The other tile has a glazed smooth finish with a medium sheen and a uniform appearance in tone.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really makes the kitchen These tiles were so much more affordable than other backspash options and the look is unbeatable. We used these as part of a low budget kitchen renovation. I love all of the changes we made but these tiles really make the kitchen. They add so much style and class. We purchased two boxes and a few hand fulls of singles. It was nice that our local store does sell them individually as well so we didn't have to buy a whole box for the few feet of extra we needed. None of the tiles were broken and in the 200 plus tiles, I found one chip. I love that they self space to a 1/16th inch grout line so you don't have to worry about spacers either. Neither my husband nor I have ever done tiling but these were easy enough to install. July 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality for a fair price These tiles were the perfect effect I was looking for-cut and shaped easily, self-spacing for even grout lines, uniform color with no blemishes or marks in the glaze, unlike other brands I've witnessed. May 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very expensive per sq-ft but man, they are beautiful when installed Hardest part of any bathroom renovation for me is waiting patiently for wife to decide on tile selection exacerbated by the fact chosen tiles are almost always special order items. This Daltile as expected was indeed a specialty order item and wait times were horrible but all things considered were indeed worth the wait. Quality of these subway tiles were top notch with just a few chipped tiles in each box (expected but disheartening). Once installed and grouted the results were spectacular. Be sure and use a sandless grout and seal properly and you will be very pleased with results December 14, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mid grade tile Some pieces of tile are larger than others. Therefore it is hard to keep them in a straight line as you go up the wall. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great. Was exactly the look I wanted I was stressing about purchasing this and if I should pony up and spend more on another tile. Went into Home Depot and decided to bite the bullet and go with this. So glad I did. It looks great on our kitchen back splash. We decided to go with a pewter grey grout to change up the look slightly. Love how it turned out. Installation was easy but tedious. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Herringbone Backsplash Recently used this tile for a herringbone kitchen backsplash. It cut and hung well. Little to no unintended chipping or breaking. When used with an interesting pattern, price-wise, this is heads and tails above any other option that I've come across. July 20, 2016
