A "hardened" nail set shouldn't mushroom after only a few nails. Very disappointed.

After a few minutes use, the tip had shattered apart and rendered it pretty useless. I recommend spending more on something higher quality.

I bought this set of sets to help finish some new trim that we had installed in our home. I selected the correct set for the size nails we were using and on the second nail the set chipped on the end. It was still usable, but after 4-5 uses, the 'cup' on the front of the nail set was completely chipped away and it was more of an awl at this point.
I knew I was buying a cheap product because I only intended to use it for this one application, but I did not anticipate the quality to be as low as it is. I would recommend going with a higher quality set, even if you only need it for a small number of jobs. You will thank yourself later.

These are great nail setters as well as predrilling holes for nails. I used them to put up a chair rail. I found if I took the most pointed one and set a hole, it was easier to keep the nail in place while I pounded it in. I than took the other small square punch and set the nail in deeper so I could caulk and cover the nail.

The tools are standard nail setting kit. The three different sizes comes in handy.
It would be great if they came in different colors
