This light was straightforward to install however they should include a higher quality set of screws. The ones they provided did not grip well and were not particularly sturdy. I think a metal self-tapping screw would be better. That said I was able to get it up with the provided screws and you could always sub in your own screws. The light is quite bright and the sensor is sensitive to motion (without being overly sensitive, it doesn't go off for a breeze or stray leaf). I like that it's solar powered and doesn't need to be hardwired. Overall I'm pleased with the appearance and performance.

I would recommend before installing the solar panel, to remove the base of the solar panel and drill and install the holes required to hold it down. Its hard to screw in the base with the panel fitted. Also pay attention when installing the quick clip bracket that it is right side "UP"

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jerrylee Decent light for the price
I looked at a unit that was twice the price and was only rated about for more lumens. This is mounted to my shed, mostly for my dog when she goes out at night, but it is bright enough for me to actually use! I have the sensor pointed towards the house, and as soon as I walk out of the door it kicks on!

Can you imagine, an outdoor light has no gaskets to keep rain water from getting into it? This light looks nice and was easy to install. After having it work great for the first 5 days/nights we had our first soaking rain. The very next day I looked at the light and saw that water had accessed the sensor and lights. There was also a burn mark in the sensor to show me that it had already burned out.
Because I liked the fixture, I bought another one and a few days later we had another heavy rain and the new fixture filled up with water as well. Well so much for it being "DEFIANT", it's more like trash.
BTW, I took the first fixture apart to check it out and found there neither the light head or sensor had any gaskets at all.

Easy install. I needed extra light for my security system since the night vision doesnt work so well in some areas because i installed the cameras on the easment of my two story house. Hope this does the trick! Haven't tested yet but after reading reviews i'm sure it will be just what i needed. just wish they had it in black but whites ok.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mixmox simple to install and very bright
The installation instructions are well illustrated and easy to follow. The installation itself is very easy, simply a matter of screwing the two parts onto a wall where it is needed.
There is 15’ of wire to connect the panel to the light so it should be ample in almost all cases. You may want to use a cable tie to hold the unused length of cable neatly in place.
Once attached to the wall, one simply plugs the panel into the light and it is installed. One can adjust the angle of the panel and also the direction of the light and its sensor.
It claims to be weather proof, only time will tell if the white plastic can hold up to the elements of baking heat in the summer and below freezing temp in our Maine winters.
The motion sensor works well and the light produces is brilliant, very bright indeed.
Though I have not opened the battery compartment to check, I am pleased to see that the box states that it uses 5 AA rechargeable batteries. I like standard batteries.

This is s great product! The North side of our home had no power to put a sensor light. This one not only fit that need, but I was able to put it on a tree! It's very bright and I now have a sensor light on the North gate. We have a large back yard and I wanted to put security lighting in the yard. But the expense of putting underground 120VAC was very high. These lights now fill that need.
One of the nicest things was the ease of installation. They have a little "belt" clip on the back of the light. All you need to do is put 2 screws into a hanger and then slide the light into the clip! It's easier than hanging a picture.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DAE Easy to Install
I will try to remember to come back here after we have used the lights for a while and report on battery life and durability. We are using them outside near chicken pens and inside a barn for lighting where there is no electrical supply. They were very easy to install and set up. They have a wide range of options in relation to sensibility, length of time it stays on, how dark it is before it detects motion, and off/on/auto settings. Now my husband wants to put them everywhere on our farm.
