Belt broke was told by customer serves that the belt can not be replaced . Talked to Home depot they gave me the belt number but they were out of stock at Home depot so I order it online for $1.50 and replaced the belt . No different than any other vacuum belt to replace.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Crazy old cat lady This machine rocks!!
I have a
Bad back and two cats and I love this machine! It sucks up a mountain of cat hair every three days that my old vacuum didn't get , plus copious amounts of cat litter and dust. I urge pet owners and anyone with back pain to buy this machine. Needs to lock upright audibly because it falls over easily or have a wider ,heavier cleaner head for stability unless it would interfere with maneuverability in which case it needs tojust lock upright and release it with a foot pedal to vacuum. Spend that extra second to steady it when u park it and it will stay upright. I love mine so much I immediately bought a second one, it out performs every machine I've ever owned and handles like a dream. Once you go swerve u will never go back. Empty dirt cup often and clean your filters regularly to save wear and tear on belts and motor, and to maintain maximum suction.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lrier Sucks up dust... not much else
The dirt devil is easy to use and certainly swerves, but it has a hard time picking up anything bigger than dust. We use it in the office and after vacuuming you need to pick up any small bits of paper, since the vacuum can't do it for you. It also likes to dump all the dust back into the air when you're trying to unload the bagless dust container. Overall I'm pretty unsatisfied

Belt brakes way too soon. Belt way too pricey! Belt not easily replaced. Do the so called engineers ever use these products. Hundred bucks is enough that the product should last several years not months. Really not a vacuum cleaner, bought as electric broom for hard floors, very little use, very little value!
Less than a year old, warranty would be a joke. Who pays for all the hassle.

I suffer from severe chronic lower back pain, and wanted a powerful, light weight, easy to maneuver, empty, and fit my limited budget. That would work on carpet, rugs, tile and wood floors. After searching the net and reading tons of reviews. I decided on the Dirt Devil Swerve Multi-Cyclonic Upright. I've had it for about two months, and couldn't be more pleased. It does all I needed in a vacuum and even more. I highly recommend it to anyone who has pain issues or just looking for vacuum that works great.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mla14 Poor performance, loses suction
We bought this cheap unit hoping to replace our 4 year Shark that broke. Not a good decision. This unit pushes hard and it loses suction quickly. I normally don't write reviews but this model should be avoided. Also, in trying to clean the roller brush, I discovered that it does not come out and the belt cannot be replaced. Save yourself the trouble and regret. Serious buyer's remorse. Planning on buying a different vacuum for Christmas.

I just picked this up because the display for the holiday weekend caught my eye. I wanted something small to do a quick pickup but didnt want one of the cheap twenty dollar vacs.
I like it. It has really strong suction, the bagless feature I like and the swivel is great. However, I have to get used to the swivel. Because this is "top heavy" it wants to swivel rather than stay straight. Maybe its just me but It will take some getting used to. The ease of use, fact that it will suck up a cat hair tumbleweed several inches from the head and the small compact size makes it a keeper. It is great on tile and hardwoods but even my low area rugs require pushing. That is because the suction is so strong... so whats better? I vote strong suction any day.
