Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DEAD AFTER 1 YEAR Absolutely NO GOOD. Died after perhaps 1.2 years of moderate to minimal use.(mostly minimal) The power cord has a short and only works when it wants to. It overheats after 5 minute use. It will not cut wood at all. Don't believe the hype or the name. I am so disappointed. I though that I bought Dremel quality. NOT!!!!. I will never buy again! ps. Most people will leave a review after the first week...mine is after a year+....please be smart and read into this statement! April 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This tool is a dud !! I am not to happy with dremel multi max the teeth that holds the blades in place broke off and was breaking the blades and the blades are NOT CHEAP I sent it to dremel and they replaced the part only for the teeth to break once again after having it not more than a month after the part was replaced. I have only had this too for about 9 months December 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dremel is an outstanding choice and a hand full of muscle! I reviewed the choices available at the store, and Dremel was a cut above in my opinion. I'm not a pro, just an amateur home DIYer. I tried removing some 40-year-old bathroom tiles, but was only able to remove small chips. This would have taken hours. This tool removed the tile in minutes and wasn't even breathing hard. The tool is a real workhorse, it never overheated, and the vibration was minimal. No hot gloves needed at all. Needless to say, those tiles were all glued down to the concrete pad. I haven't had an opportunity to use the other blades yet, but I'm looking forward to it! You're not going to find a better tool and accessories anywhere. Before I go, the ease of changing blades is awesome with the flip of a lever atop the Multi-Max and you're locked and ready to go! Try that with the other brands! January 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I LOVE DREMEL MULTI-MAX This tool is amazing. It will do so many tasks, you don't need so many other tools in your tool box. I have just purchased another one after using the first one I bought for 4 years. I cut through 2x4s, sheetrock, beadboard, tile, and on and on and on. This tool does it all. The attachments can be a little expensive. But not enough I wouldn't recommend this tool. I tell everybody about it. I love it!! March 1, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent tool This tool did all I needed and more. I do wish I had gone with the Rockwell though, but only because that one doesn't limit you to their own blades (it accepts Dremel, Milwaukee, etc.) Other than that, this is a great tool! Had mine for 9 months now. frankinottawa: Of course it's overheating! It has an intermittent short! Fix the cord and ALL the symptoms you described go away. Vibration can cause a solder joint (where the cord actually connects within the tool) to come loose. I doubt Dremel x-rays the solder joints. If they did, add $50 to the price of the tool. Gonna happen from time to time; not the end of the world. December 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product works great The thing I like best is when cutting drywall or trim the dust seems to fall right below where your cutting and not all over the room. January 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smooth Machine I'm replacing the baseboards throughout my 1970's house. Previous owners added new hardwood floors, but they were pinched up against original baseboards. After chiseling the first baseboard with hammer and pry bars, I said there has to be a better way. Enter the Dremel Multi-Max. Using the "wood" blade I quickly and cleanly cut off the top of the old baseboards at floor level which left a nice flat perch for my new baseboards. Good tool! August 21, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleased I purchased this tool to help with varius projects in the restoration of my 1829 home, where i needed to make accurate and controlled flush cuts around original molding. The Multimax has worked perfectly. Easy to control and to guage the depth of the cut. Smooth cuts. Couldn't be more pleased. Home depot delivered the order amazingly fast. September 26, 2012
