Customer Questions & Answers

Will this heater run off your standard, refillable barbecue type propane tank?

Asked by: kevin
yes it will, but as I have stated before, to get your moneys worth don't do an exchange of the tank. They only fill the tank with around 16 lbs of gas. Take it to a place that fills them and you will get your 20lbs worth for around the same price.

It lights the first time every time, burns well, and heats up my 2 car uninsulated garage from 40 degrees up to 60-65 degrees in about 20 minutes. I'm very happy with it. I've gone through one 20lb propane tank with it already and you can't tell it's ever been used. Only negative thing I could say is that there is no on/off switch for the fan or spark. You physically have to plug it in and unplug it to turn it on/off. I'm pretty sure that is a safety feature though so I guess I shouldn't complain about it...haha. I would definitely buy it again.

I purchased this unit to replace a 150,000 BTU Kero heater that I had in service for many years. I use the heaters to offset the chill in in 24X48 insulated shop. The 150K unit would heat the shop to a toastee temp in no time. This unit raised the interior temp 10 degrees in an hour. The pros are it is light, no smells and easy to use. The cons are: underpowered for this size of shop and the fan needs an on off switch. It would probably do well for a regular 2 car garage - however not for a larger space. I will probably research a larger unit for purchase and use this one in the garage.

I have been using in my 24x30 garage and it works great. The heat adjustmet allows me to crank it up when I need to warm the space up and then I can turn it down to maintain temp' It is noisey from the fan but that is the nature of these heaters. Once the space is warm I turn off periodicly anyway because it still puts off more heat than i need on warmer days'

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but powerful The unit is a lot smaller than I expected. I never looked at the dimensions because I had already expected a large unit. It is about 1/3 the size I was expecting but this doesn't stop it from being extremely powerful. It heats my large 2 car garage in a matter of minutes allowing me to then shut it off for an hour or so before starting the process over again. Highly recommended product

My husband had been talking about heating the garage this winter do work on a few projects that can't be worked on inside due to dust and chemical fumes... So I gave this to him for Christmas. He loves it! It warms the garage up toasty! His only complaint is that it is a bit loud, so the garage TV gets turned up also...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very limited functionality This heater would be very nice, but it must be manually lit every time (even though it has a piezo lighter that is from an external power supply!), and the only way to shut the fan off is by unplugging it, how crazy is that? Sorry, but this would be a great little heater, but its hobbled by a lack of controls.

One of the fan blades was slightly bent preventing fan rotation and, thus, heater operation. By removing the rear fan guard I could reach inside and straighten the bent blade. I reinstalled the fan guard and it works perfectly.
