Answer:
The CS-3000 has the same body style as the CS-303T and the engine displacement, but they have a different engine design. Resulting in the CS-303T having more engine power.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I am very happy with my echo chainsaw! I use the saw daily and am very happy cs-303. It was well made and has been designed to the t for a professional arborist. Thank you! April 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little saw This is the second top handle Echo saw I've bought. The first one was a gift for my dad several years ago. Both of us were very impressed with how well it ran and how easy it was to start. When the time came to replace my aging McCulloch I passed up all of the bargain brand saws and spent a little more for my own Echo. I'm happy to say it runs just like the first one. Every low limb and sapling on the place came down the first weekend I owned it. March 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT ALL AROUND CHAINSAW GOOD ALL AROUND CHAIN SAW, WE USE IT FOR PALMS, HARD TREES, ETC. RELIABLE, LIGHT WEIGHT, EASE OF USE. EVEN MY WIFE USES IT. March 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for general home use. Lightweight, comfortable to handle, easy starting and has more power than I expected. March 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A true work rugged horse Ok, this will tell you all you need to know. 1, this is a small light weight saw. It is easy to maneuver and can be use one handed if you need to. 2, despite having a tree dropped on it that broke a few plastic parts, the saw still ran. 3, left out in rain, snow, and sun, still runs. 4, dropped out of a tree, bent bar but, still ran. 5, used and abused cutting trees and limbs up to 20" diameter, doesn't hesitate. 6, almost 8 years of use and still runs, actually it starts better now, one - three pulls even when cold. And finally 7, it just got ran over several times by a John deere 4600 tractor, lots of damage broke most of the plastic parts including the handle stop switch and break bar but, it still runs . Bottom line is, as long as you take care of it with proper fuel/oil mixture and use good chain oil and don't run over it with your tractor or truck it will last a really long time. This saw is perfect for a home owner that only needs a saw every now and then to prune or clear storm damage. It is perfect for going up in a tree with its own lanyard ring, (I have used it at 60' with rope belt and tree spikes ) as it is light and not bulky. February 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wish i went bigger I needed a smaller limb saw for a few tree projects around the house and this seemed like a great value. Unfortunate for me it is to under powered to really work as a climbing and limb saw. Its a little hard starting, but runs well after warming up, just wish it had more power to keep from stopping on small limbs. April 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little saw Really like this saw its light and compact and still has enough power for hard jobs. October 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Light and powerful I couldn't find any real world video's or many reviews on this saw so here's my take. We added tree services to our already existing landscaping/plowing company and I was going between this and Sthil. After I took some time to go to the two dealers to compare all the different models I decided on this one. At half the price of a Sthil but still getting a great commercial saw it was a smart choice! It has tons of power and the 14" bar is a perfect match. We don't use it every day and have owned it for about 2 months but it has a 10"x30ft limb, a trimming job, a handful of very large Burning Bushes and 2-30ft pines under it's belt along with all the brush that comes along with those jobs and so far so good. The base of those pines were 14-16" and it zipped through them like butter. It's light enough to make several one handed cuts in a row if necessary. I was concerned about the on/off switch like other's said but after using it several times my hand doesn't come near the switch unless I need it to. Fires up on the second or third pull, however I wish it was a bit easier to pull like our other Echo equipment is but not a major deal. So far it's been a great addition! September 5, 2015
