Is this a good saw for a lady?

would you recommend a lady using this saw?
Asked by: Anonymous
I would not recommend this saw for a lady the reasons why would its a heavy saw and you really need to grip this thing pretty tight to make sure you don't get any kick back not saying you but you never know safety first its not worth any risk to find out the hard way. I would recommend the 14 inch or better yet go with the echo battery powered saw or electric. These mac nines are dangerous for men unless you have the strength of a man I would not recommend any 18 inch gas saw.

It comes with a 5 year warranty; that's the longest one I know of; I doubt you can extend it beyond that.

I haven't use the echo extensively but that goes for the other two chainsaws as well. I have an echo weed trimmer and gas blower as well and those products are also a superior value to other brands I have tried in those categories.

First I bought a Husqvarna 440, and couldn't get it started, took it back to Lowes and exchanged it for another one....same thing, couldn't start it, then I did a little youtube research on it and found out it's a common problem, thought I was buying a good chainsaw. Looked online for a chainsaw from Home Depot and figured the 18" would fit the bill out on my acreage. Went down and picked up the Echo for less than the Husqvarna, took it home and followed the instructions and it started up after about the third pull, which was much better than the hundred or so pulls trying to get the others to start. I have cut down and cut up many trees for firewood and haven't had to do anything but put more gas mix and bar and chain oil in it.

Best Chainsaw i have ever owned......... two days ago my son put the gas mix in the oil tank and the oil in the gas tank, I started it and it ran about 30 seconds, after trying to start it for about 2 minutes, I checked and realized what happened. I drained the two tanks by pouring out the two tanks, put about 1/8 cut of pure gas filled the chain oil, pulled the cord about 5 times and it started - smoked about 5 seconds than ran normal iadded mor mixed gas and cut down 2 trees without any issues, what a beast!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cost effective and durable Bought this following bad storms that knocked trees down in our area. Saw starts easily and has enough drive to easily chew through a thick tree. This saw ran constantly over a 3 day period during which it chopped up 4 trees and completely took down one other. Lightweight enough to make climbing with it easy. Make sure you tighten the bar nuts well because I ended up losing one, had to buy 2 for 60 cents replacement M8 x 1.25 nuts. Chain replacement is easy, I've already changed chains twice on it, very straightforward. Good, affordable piece of gear, highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One mean machine.... Yes folks, I was hit hard by the Hurricane Matthew and there were about 5 75 foot trees that fell over into my back yard crushing my 4 foot high, black, chain link fence. Years ago I use to own a chain saw (it wasn't a ECHO) but it "called it quits" on me about a year ago. Since I am so happy with my ECHO edger, which has been performing for years and years without any problems, I decided to try the ECHO CS-400 with a 19 inch reach. Well friends, this little wood eater is fantastic! Always starts on the first pull (or sometimes the 2nd pull) and as long as you keep the chain sharpened, it eats through those pine & oak trees like butter.

First of all, I like Echo products and my Echo string trimmer and blower are great have never given me any problems. Against my better judgement, I decided to try the Echo chainsaw instead of a Stihl which I have always used and owned. The Echo lasted one day before the chain/bar lock mechanism broke and rendered the saw inoperable. I will never buy another Echo chainsaw again and my advice to anyone looking for a saw that will last forever is to spend a little extra and buy a Stihl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw for around the house I bought this saw after having a few poulan saws go bad. Warranty is great and hope I don't have to use it. But so far this saw is doing its job. Starts right up every time no problems. I also used the premixed fuel from the store and not regular pump gas. We'll see how it works over the years.

From the metal chain guard to the adjustable oiler. Oh and the 5 year warranty. I cut a truckload of mesquite every month and this beast hasn't skipped a beat. Just wish the handle was a little thicker.... its built for baby hands.
